The Baked Scrod is delicious with French fries and salad with Italian dressing .Marie L is a great waitress always making sure you have everything you need and making sure you're happy with your service and meal. The owner Joe is always at the door to greet you and welcome you for coming here. Nice peaceful and relaxing place to bring a significant other to enjoy a meal. You definitely get more than your monies worth at this place. I will be back that's for sure.

Having grown up in the MA southcoast, I’ve had my share of Portuguese food, and iAlive certainly did not disappoint - simply delicious. The garlic sauce served with the bread had subtle heat that doesn’t overpower the other flavors, the portions were generous and prices were reasonable. Pictures of the dishes were also on the menu so there were no visual surprises, the server was friendly, efficient and well informed. The kale soup was perfect (it’s so easy to over or undercook the kale), the scrod had a buttery crunchy crumb topping and the stuffies were truly stuffed to the brim. While there was little room for dessert we opted for the flan and it was the best flan we’ve ever tasted, melt in your mouth with perfect texture and amount of syrup. On our way out we made a point to tell the owner how much we appreciated the delicious food and impeccable service. It fills up fast, even in late afternoon, so strongly recommend making reservations!

Wasn’t a fan of the food seafood didn’t taste fresh, calamari was chewy, mashed potatoes were weird and the gravy reminded me of canned. The waitress was nice and the bread was my fav part.

The service was great, but the food was cold, Portuguese steak serve with burned potatoes and seafood rice (they didn’t even ask for allergies) instead the brown delicious rice that comes with this plate. we also ordered a paella and it was disgusting same seafood rice with scallops (when I clearly said no scallops) , with half stuffed lobster on top, I came here full of expectations based on previos experience but now i don’t think I will ever come back, the quality is messed up our friends said the same thing. We were all expecting fresh food not pre-heated.

The food was unexpectedly good! Like, I had driven by this place time and time again not knowing how amazing the food would be. I got a steak sandwich with some Portuguese fries and it was probably the best food I've ever had. They also have amazing rolls served with butter. We sat at the bar and watched the Ravens vs Texans game and the place was ALIVE with football fans. Definitely a great atmosphere but still appreciate how prompt and friendly the service was (even at the bar!) Thank you all for your wonderful service.

Our first visit to this restaurant was a success! Many locals all greeting each other and the staff, made for a very friendly atmosphere. Service was quick, they offer pick-up/take-out and the foods were delicious. We were quite surprised by all the options available. Definitely something to please EVERYONE! My husband got the Baked Scrod Boat - it was huge and very good. I got the New York Sirloin Steak and as advertised it was "grilled to perfection".We look forward to going back and sampling more dishes.
