1st timer,long timer onlooker, but won't be the last time now. The subs are ridiculously hugely tasty nestled in the perfectly soft yet firm bread. Do yourself a favor and if ya haven't done it yet, just go! You'll love the old school family atmosphere, trust me!
I've been coming to New Deal for over 20 years, so it breaks my heart to give them a review that is less than five stars.
The subs are very good, but the service isn't that great anymore. Even with four people behind the counter, expect a long wait to have your sandwich made. I don't blame the poor kids working behind the counter because they are overworked.

I can’t say enough about the kindness and professionalism of New Deal Fruit. On the night before my sister’s funeral and celebration of life, we found out the caterer never booked our event, leaving us scrambling at 9:00 pm. My husband reached out to Dom with a huge last-minute request—150 sandwiches and salads—and without hesitation, he made it happen.
