I think 99 letting children sit at the bar is really weird and it really ruins the vibe of sitting at the bar and drinking. The service is really great, but I feel like the quality of the food has dropped off in the last few years and the plates always look kind of thrown together.

Always a reliable choice. I had fish tacos whick were crunchy and savory in a soft tortilla. YUM!. A little loud but then we were sitting in the bar area.

Absolutely horrible service, as a veteran to hear the staff bad mouth veterans for engaging in the meal promo. Waited for service and even after the bar cleared out i waited with an empty glass for over 15 minutes with 2 other people at the bar. We just had drinks and never announced that at the bar. Id rather look for a cold beer in Baghdad then ever step foot in that place again. Absolutely garage

Ordered meal to go over phone. Asked for the side to be mash potatoes with gravy. $2.29 was charged for tiny little gravy on top of potatoes. Wasn’t told of the charge as wouldn’t pay that for couple tablespoons of gravy. They automatically add tip to the meal even with it to go. Charge packing fee. Girl taking order took 15min taking order of app & a meal. I waited outside at pick up spot after 5 min no one came so I when in. Love this 99 for many years but disappointed with the recent service.

There are a lot of these restaurants in Boston, I'm from Georgia so I cant review all of them but this one was a good place to eat. Atmosphere was great with a lot of people watching the Red Sox play during my visit. Food was good, I ordered the tenders with those mini baked potatoes with sour cream and bacon bits. Price was a little high but it's Boston, expect to spend money when visiting here. The service was fast and friendly. My only complaint and this goes for the rest of the city is that most restaurants don't serve sweet tea so if your from the south don't ask for it, they just look at you funny. Recommend this restaurant if your visiting

I moved away from this region a few years ago. Coming back and it being exactly how I remembered it is a tribute to 99s consistency. Everything was exactly like I remembered it. The steak tips were on point, the Lobster roll was immaculate, and the Haddock was perfect. The atmosphere was exactly how I’d remembered it. It was like coming home to that old family member greeting you with a warm meal and a great time.
