I want to give Lucca 5 stars because we love it here and dine here often. But yesterday was not a good service level at all. Perhaps they were short staffed. The food was 5 stars as always but the time it took to get our food and even water after we sat down was unusually slow. I'm sure it was specific to a staff shortage and will of course be returning

Service was slow, food was good, it was someone's birthday and was wished a happy birthday multiple times but never offered a dessert or anything

Ordered two glasses of wine and a cheeseboard to start, the white wine came warm (we eventually got ice) and it took over an hour to get the appetizer. Did not order complicated main dishes (bolognese and pasta pomodoro) but didn't receive the dishes until two hours after sitting down. Waiter offered free ice cream, which was a nice touch, but not enough to ever make us go back.

Excellent service and a wonderful vibe. Loved the sundried tomato and spinach fettuccine and crispy cauliflower as well as the salted caramel ice cream and carrot cake.

 we had oysters from Maine who were delicious and very juicy. Then I had the pub steak which came medium rare as order a good size and tasty, but the best was the chocolate torte which was excellent. Our server John was very attentive helpful and let us take our time I have taken to this restaurant, family, friends and large groups and we're always satisfied

I have lived on the South Shore for 35 years. This is my favorite restaurant to date. Love the atmosphere, staff and the food is amazing.
We are regulars to Lucca and every single time we dine there, we are greeted like we are family! Sean, the owner is always warm and friendly. Service last night was as usual top notch and the food is the best on south shore! It is our favorite! See you soon Lucca!
