We decided to try this spot last night, lived in rockland since 2006 a d have never tried. The steaks are way better than anything I've tried in the area, great drinks, atmosphere. This is DEFINITELY a great spot that is underutilized.

Mineiros has excellent meats, and a wide variety of side dishes (salads, veggies, potatoes, beans, rice, etc.). There are also plenty of options for vegetarians. Good service and delicious steak. Only downside is it's not cheap, but I pay for good food.

Upon arrival wasn't immediately addressed so I awkwardly just sat at an empty table. The waitress was very nice when she came to my table however....the restaurant was next to empty. i ordered a medium rare steak and it took about a half hour with no one else in the restaurant. Also the bill..... automatic 20%? Which is not customary it's around 15%. 20% for outstanding service. Unless they're convinced Everytime I will get excellent service this almost feels like stealing. I probably won't go back unfortunately even though the food was great. What a shame.

We went in January with a group of 12 to celebrate my Mom's birthday and it was wonderful. The waitresses were attentive and the meat was coming out quickly. Lots of varieties. Today, we went again, 11 people to celebrate my birthday and my sisters birthday. Very disappointed. Had to keep chasing waitresses for water. Meat hardly came out. Maybe only 5 things in the couple of hours we were there. When it did, it was overdone. Wanted the pineapple, but knew we would wait forever. So I chased waitress down for the check. We tipped heavily as we do, because I feel they were just completely understaffed. But for a bill over $650.00, we left disappointed and most likely will not return.
