The banner is perhaps one of the oldest bars in Rockland mass. It's been done over. A lot Brighter. A good gathering for friends to see a friends band. Very local bar. The food took a long time to come out and it was so so bar food. Ordered pizza which seemed as if out of a box. Other food looked ok but I didn't order. I only had a couple of beers which were cold and there was no wait. Bathrooms were clean. Outside seating if you got too hot. Not a bad place to hang. Nostalgic if you are from the area.

We went for $3.00 taco night because we didn't want to cook. The food was very good. Large variety of tacos to choose from. Surprise being a rueben taco - ordered by two at our table and enjoyed. Have had steak tips before as well. Also very good. Nice, unpretentious place to sit and have a beer and tasty bites.

New to town so tried out “The Banner”. Good ol fashioned Irish Pub! Usually you walk into a pub and you get looked at your first time by everyone for being the new guy, but felt very welcomed! Guinness was ice cold, and properly poured just how I like it! Barkeep was personable and attentive! Music was perfect volume and classic! Love this place!
Came back to see the new banner same great place food was delicious and beer ice cold . They had live music decor changed very little to our liking glad the new owners saw a gem
