The banner is perhaps one of the oldest bars in Rockland mass. It's been done over. A lot Brighter. A good gathering for friends to see a friends band. Very local bar. The food took a long time to come out and it was so so bar food. Ordered pizza which seemed as if out of a box. Other food looked ok but I didn't order. I only had a couple of beers which were cold and there was no wait. Bathrooms were clean. Outside seating if you got too hot. Not a bad place...
We went for $3.00 taco night because we didn't want to cook. The food was very good. Large variety of tacos to choose from. Surprise being a rueben taco - ordered by two at our table and enjoyed. Have had steak tips before as well. Also very good. Nice, unpretentious place to sit and have a beer and tasty bites.
New to town so tried out “The Banner”. Good ol fashioned Irish Pub! Usually you walk into a pub and you get looked at your first time by everyone for being the new guy, but felt very welcomed! Guinness was ice cold, and properly poured just how I like it! Barkeep was personable and attentive! Music was perfect volume and classic! Love this place!
