A really great place to eat barbecue ribs and it also has ample parking and all the staff are very welcoming.

Great place with amazing food. The BBQ is some of the best around. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get.

Excellent experience, really nice food & service

We used American barbecue for our company outing this week and the food was spectacular ribs the brisket chicken the beans everything was just delicious. The staff was super accommodating, courteous, friendly, helpful very nice to work with. They even brought signs indicating items that were gluten-free for us can’t wait for our next outing because we are definitely calling American barbecue again

Nice little place in Rowley. Good food

Great BBQ spot with plenty of outdoor seating. BBQ pork was flavorful and kielbasa were very good, kids had chicken fingers which came out nice and crispy.

Waitstaff was very attentive and pleasant. Overall a very good spot. Good amount of mixed drinks on menu as well. I would recommend a visit.

We had The American BBQ cater an anniversary party and were delighted with the food and service. Allison was lovely to work with from start to finish. She was responsive to all our requests and made sure we had everything we needed for a terrific event. Set up, serving, and take down were all very professional. And the food was great - especially the pulled pork!

Pros:
Food was excellent. Cute friendly atmosphere. Bright and well lit. Staff was friendly and attentive. Will go back.

Con:
HOWEVER! They had two folk singers who were fantastic. Singing and playing a guitar. BUT they played far too loud. The restaurant is small and quant. The folk singers were placed near the entrance next to the dining area. We were unable to talk to each other without yelling. The volume must have been fine for the bar area, spaced further away from the singers. Every time they ended a song, I heard clapping from the bar. No clapping from the dining area. My throat is sore from having to raise my voice to be heard by my table mates. It was not necessary to play the music at that volume.

There is no reason the artists could not lower the volume to dining level. They played like they were performing for an out for venue. Beautiful music, just far too loud for such a small area. My ears were starting to hurt by the time we finished eating.

Service was great. The food was excellent and such large portions. Pulled pork,Mac and cheese, cornbread and baked beans were so delicious!! Had a great variety of BBQ sauces to choose from.
We had key lime pie and bourbon pecan pie for dessert, and both were delicious!! Will definitely be back again, for more delicious food!

Second time out in Rowley, MA. If you are ever up north, and Love Barbecue, please stop by. My three meat combo was excellent, the ribs and brisket were the best. My wife said her baked haddock was great, my boys ate all of their steak tips.

Just got home and was sick! Ordered fish and chips- fish was stale, bland as was the batter. Not going back

We used them for catering and the food was great, the delivery/set up was easy and convenient, and most importantly the guests raved about the food. The only thing I would change would be the spinach & artichoke dip. It was expensive for what we got, but it was delicious. Will definitely be using them again for future parties and events.
