We need to give a special shout out to Julia, who coordinated every little detail while making everyone feel at ease and welcome. Her efforts leading up to the wedding and through the whole event were very impressive, down to the smallest details of our requests that she knew by heart, as well as her experience and input on the other small details we wouldn’t have even thought of. The organization is very lucky to have her. Thank you to all of the incredible staff for such a wonderful day. Down to the extra gift the morning after!

The service and attention to detail were absolutely exceptional — just like at their sister property, Willowdale Estate, which I’ve always loved. The staff at Grove were professional, kind, and truly invested in making the day seamless for everyone involved. The atmosphere is rustic and elegant yet relaxed, the food was outstanding, and every corner of the property photographed beautifully. I can’t recommend Grove at Briar Barn Inn enough for couples looking for an intimate, elevated venue experience in the North Shore area!

My husband and I got married at The Grove 2 weeks ago and we cannot recommend this place enough! From our initial venue tour with Ali we knew this place was something special. Not only does the property provide everything you can need/want (with guests staying at the Inn), the staff is beyond exceptional, the whole property is so beautifully curated and the food is phenomenal. We wanted a remote New England cozy venue that was local to us and The Grove checked all our boxes. It truly feels like you are in the middle of nowhere (while still being so close to everything), tucked back from the main street, this unassuming property was the perfect setting for our wedding day! We worked with Jordan, who made sure the day ran better than smooth! Being someone that works in the wedding industry, I was hyper aware of all the timing, logistics and moving parts - something I was worried would cause me stress on the wedding day. However, Jordan was FANTASTIC! I cannot say enough wonderful things about her - she was beyond organized and making sure that everything happened when it needed to and was so sweet and calm during the whole process. I was not stressed or worried for a second that day. The whole event staff that night was so accommodating and welcoming and our guests who could not stop raving about the staff and the food all night long! The food was beyond what we could have asked for. My husband and I have food allergies and their Chef made off menu items for us for cocktail hour - this is just one example of the above and beyond mentality that The Grove has. Choosing The Grove was the best decision we made and we are so happy to now have a beautiful Inn and Restaurant to visit to celebrate our anniversaries.

Thanks to Chef Lightbody for the best salmon of my life; perfectly seared with a slight crisp, tender, and juicy. Accompanied by a fennel puree that will knock your socks off. A genuine hidden gem in Rowley. Reservations recommended. We sat at bar glass of malbec & calamari app..we ordered salmon & duck breast. The food was fabulous 💖 .Desert chicken cake & warm cookies..the service,,food,& atmosphere was spectacular..the menu is farm to table changes weekly. When it has events the restaurant is closed so check on website before you make reservations..

They do not know how to cook lollipop lamb chops they were brought to the table Raw so we had the waitress bring them back and then she came out a few minutes later and asked us what temperature we would like it cooked at temperature we asked you to cook them medium no clue how to cook lamb so I told the waitress I don't know tell the chef shouldn't he know the temperatures he is the head chef. If you're going to dine there order a salad

Everything was great, from visiting one partner in Briar Barn Inn (where they were getting ready) right up until the dance party portion of the reception.
The staff were very kind (to the couple and to the vendors) and everything ran smoothly. I was particularly impressed by how they handled plan changes: this wedding took place during the first storm of the season, so I just had to get the couple outside for some snow pictures. This was no problem though, which was great.
I highly recommend Grove at Briar Barn Inn for your wedding. This cozy venue will take care of you on your big day!

I inquired about having my wedding here. It took your coordinator Shelby over a week to get back to us. Finally after another email she responded. We were finally able to make an appointment to view the barn. We arrived, and kept us waiting over a half hour before she even came to greet us. She looked disheveled as if she just rolled out of bed. She sat us at a dirty table from the wedding the night before to go over numbers. Instead of wiping it down she just said “it was from last nights wedding.” So this place does not clean after events. I asked twice if a specific date was available and her response was “I think so.” She then told us she would have the proposal to us later on that day. I still have not received anything!!! This place is overpriced, includes nothing and has very poor event staff. These are NOT the people you want taking care of you on your wedding day!
The best part about the Grove is sitting outside under the trees and umbrellas, during the summer, while having a leisurely brunch. You feel secluded, well cared for and peaceful. The staff always makes you feel welcome.

I ordered a steak, but it wasn't hot enough. The burger was just okay. Overall, it did not meet our expectations for a premium restaurant and was not worth the money.

We felt so present because of Jordan's work behind the scenes. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful the space was and how delicious the food tasted, especially those with food allergies.
