Omg, so good! Came for breakfast/brunch and this place exceeded expectations. If you have pancake in the name it better be proper pancakes…10/10 can recommend.
The missus had the lobster & asparagus omelette and wow, that crushed as well. Delicious hollandaise and the service was stellar as well.

Reliable diner fare in an old converted New England Colonial home. The Village Pancake House has been a landmark restaurant on the North Shore for more decades than I can remember. Current owners have done a terrific job keeping the old traditions while bringing fresh energy to the operation. Early-bird specials can save you a bit but, frankly, the value is there even if you slept in & missed them. The menu says No Substitutions & I don't doubt it but the menu also has enough options to cover pretty much any taste. As an example, the Quick Start breakfast has at least three options beyond how you like your eggs cooked and I may be forgetting a fourth. Open for breakfast & lunch. Hours as of this writing have them open Thurs through Mon, but check online for current. Note: No cards; ATM on premises for when you forget that tidbit.

Stepping them down to 4 stars because they do not accept credit cards, as this is a 'cash-only' place restaurant. Other than that, delightful

I went with my friend for her birthday. We had the nicest waitress. Annmarie was so efficient and fun! We had Belgian waffles with hot apples and homemade whip cream. So delicious ?. Definitely will go back.

We had a large group and were placed in a separate room. Service was great. I only had eggs and bacon and they were fine. I had asked to have crisp bacon and when it came limp I didn't say anything as the waitress was working hard. My over easy eggs were perfect. I heard the buckwheat pancakes were good and very filling, being a bit more dense in texture. We were more interested in seeing the people we were getting together with so honestly, the food was secondary. Having said that most plates were empty going back to the kitchen!
