This place is special to me. It shaped my coffeeshop frequenting behavior long before I ever had such a thing. This place set a bar high. And it still feels like home. The food. The drinks. The community. Love it here.
I can't wait until the hiatus is over. I miss the amazing hand pies, delightful atmosphere, and friendly staff. Nubian square's other cafes are no comparison in either quality or cost (or both). I look forward to Friday mornings having joy again.
Amazing breakfast food and baked goods. Had a lovely Greek omelette and scone split between two people.Between the time I posted this review and February of 2020, Haley House had closed for renovation and a new business approach. It is once again open. I haven't tried the new Haley House yet, but I look forward to it.
