I used to love eating here, they always have good food and good prices. However, today will be my last day buying here. I bought a big order that was about $45. I wanted to buy some pork ribs separately as well and the lady said "we do not sell that item by itself" I then said look I'll buy $10 worth at least. She said "I don't care about the money, you can offer me all the money you want if you want that meat you need to buy it with the rice and beans" You run a business but you don't care about the money yet you're trying to force me into buying more rice and beans, lol. I then looked at the bacalao they had, it was full to the rim, you could tell no one had bought any today and it was already 4PM. So I said okay I'll buy $10 worth of bacalao and she said "no I can't sell that individually either" All that shows me is that they are reusing yesterday's food because if not you would try to sell whatever you have available. You wouldn't turn down sales. It's so silly to lose a customer over not selling him food when you run a Dominican food shop. I don't need 10 pounds of rice and 5 pounds of beans cause I'll just end up throwing it away.

I visit this place at least twice a month. It's not the greatest looking spot but that's kind of expected. Be ready for a long line because its always busy! Staff is nice and they give huge portions for your money. My only problem is the amount of grease/ fat left on the meat. Maybe most people like that? I don't know but I personally want my plate to contain food and not chucks of fat. It's actually makes the meal unpleasant.
