The food is fresh and deliciously prepared. There are a lot of “diners” in the north shore with good reviews, and the food usually tastes heavy, overly salted, and sometimes out of a can. Despite all of the other good reviews, I expected that from this place as well, partially because of the unassuming storefront in a plaza off rte 1. I was very pleasantly surprised! So many freshly baked breakfast goods, and the egg dishes we ordered were great. I can’t recommend this place enough. We will be back!

While visiting friends in the area, we decided to try Nancy's for breakfast. We started with beignets, which arrived hot and dusted with powdered sugar and a dish of amazing blueberry jam - Maine blueberries, the little ones with tons of flavor.
Two of our party had the avocado eggs benedict. They said that the hollandaise was somewhat bland (could have used a bit of lemon), but otherwise the dish was quite good. Another had a breakfast Sandwich with corned beef which was also very tasty. I sampled some of the corned beef and it was delicious. I had a special for the day. This was a spicy fried chicken wrap with honey, egg, greens, and cheese. Most of the filling was chicken and egg. It was huge and delicious. The spice was not knock you off your chair and the honey really complimented the spice that they used. It was so big that it was difficult to hold and eat, but if that's the worst I can say about it. I wish this were a regular item, so that I could get it again when we go back. The wait staff was very attentive and communicative. Five stars for her.
