Finally stopped in again for lunch for the first time in a while. Been off Cape but this is exactly the sort of place that makes me glad to be home. Right in the door, I was greeted by one of the new owners, Jimmy. He's such a friendly guy, always has something nice to say and goes out of his way for his customers, even when they're slammed.
I didn't really know what I wanted to eat, so I took another customer's recommendation and ordered the Cali BLT, with homemade mild peppers added on. So good!!! I figured you can't really go wrong with a BLT on a croissant, but I'm not always a fan of avocado. Fortunately it was perfectly ripe and it paired really well with the peppers and that delicious mayo. New go-to sandwich for sure. Thanks, Cafe Chew!!

Love Cafe chew, always have a great experience. From the moment I walk in I am greeted by the friendliest, most helpful waitstaff. The new owners are always so kind and have done a great job maintaining this well loved small town business. The bahn mi is incredible, my mom goes for the Reuben which was also amazing (of course I had to try it). Other favorites include the cranberry walnut chicken salad sandwich, Cali BLT and poached pear salad- OMG 🤤 now if only they'd open a shop in Wareham so I wouldn't have to drive over the bridge for my favorite cafe! But it always makes for a great day trip! Highly recommend!!

I’ve been eating at this cafe for years, including through the ownership change, and I can honestly say it has only gotten better. When the new owners took over, it was clear they were taught with care, and the fact that they kept the entire staff says everything about their values. The food is consistently amazing and always fresh. Everything is made on site, including their own salad dressings and the most incredible marinated peppers. The homemade soups are always a highlight, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options that never feel like afterthoughts. The bakery display is dangerous in the best way, with fresh baked treats that are impossible to resist. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is genuinely kind and friendly every single time. This place truly feels like a community staple, and I am so grateful it continues to thrive.
