The food at Tomatoes was great overall…especially the chicken parm, which was definitely the standout dish of the night. However, a few things kept this from being a five-star experience.
First, the bread. It was a letdown. Room temperature and not very fresh. Honestly, I’ve had better from the grocery store. Fresh, warm bread would have made a huge difference.
Second, there’s no option to add a simple house salad to your meal. The only choice is a large, full-price salad, which felt like overkill when we just wanted a little something on the side.
Third, we were charged for soda refills, which was a surprise since it wasn’t mentioned on the menu or by our server. Not a huge deal, but it felt sneaky and left a bad taste when the bill arrived.
Lastly, the sun was shining directly in our eyes for most of the meal. There are no blinds or shades on one entire side of the restaurant, which made it hard to enjoy our time without squinting or repositioning constantly.
On a positive note, bonus points for serving Coke products—always a win in my book.The Friday night music was also a fun vibe.

The food was incredible best we've had on the cape. Nice atmosphere good music.the waitress was OK not like she did anything wrong but had the attitude of someone that just didn't want to work..it was our first time we didn't know if there were specials,never spoke about the food and stood near the kitchen door just waiting .

What can I say other than Maureen and fantastic. Our server Maureen was kind and informative and very accommodating. The food was fantastic, if you haven’t been you are misssing out. I will definitely be back for the delicious food and Maureen’s amazing service!!!!
