I called the Saugus, MA store this morning to find out if they were in fact open for business. The weather was bad, so I didn't want to drive all the way there to find out they were closed. I called for over a half hour before anyone answered the phone. They were open, so I took the drive down to pick up the ham I ordered on April 1st. I ordered a quarter spiral ham. They quoted me a price of under $60.00. The clerk, Mike, told me they did not have any quarter spiral hams in the store. I had to buy a half ham and spent over $70.00 for it. They did take $5.00 off, but still. What is the point of ordering something, if you are not going to get what you ordered? Not happy at all. Probably won't be returning anytime soon.

Standing in a “pre-pay line” that is 10x the line of new customers. Their assumption of pre-paying is to facilitate the checkout but it is having the opposite effect. New customers that haven’t spent money yet are being serviced first. The system is bonkers given this isnt the first holiday crowd the store has experienced….

I note that this review isn't about this store location but about Honey Baked Ham Co. generally. I write on December 23, 2023; I several weeks ago placed an order for a ham from HBH Co. for my family's Christmas. Today I learned that the ham "may" arrive on December 26, which the astute reader will note is AFTER Christmas, and is several days after my carefully selected delivery date. Christmas is special for all who celebrate it, but this Christmas was to be particularly meaningful in that it may be one of my family member's last. When I learned of HBH's inability to deliver its signature product on time, I called HBH customer support to express my great displeasure at the situation. HBH did refund my money, but I noted that it still appeared that my family might be left eating Spaghetti-Os for my father's last Christmas. I implored HBH to find a solution to the problem, such as holding a ham for me at a nearby store location. HBH indicated that customer service doesn't have capacity to interact with retail locations and that they had no way of knowing whether the store I had suggested had any hams available on such short notice. I was ultimately able to secure a grocery store ham, but the experience was, thanks to HBH, inconvenient and stressful.A large part of HBH's business is direct-to-home ham delivery. When a business fails so spectacularly at its fundamental raison d'etre, it should not be in business. The fact that HBH has no back up plan when its logistics processes fail is astounding and presents an additional reason why HBH's continued existence in a capitalist economy is perplexing.I cannot recommend this disaster of a business to anyone.

The knowledgeable and courteous staff were helpful, energetic and cared about the customers. I have been in the store enough to make these observations. All customers receive professional service.Parking: The parking area accommodates several businesses with overlapping parking areas.

so disappointing!!!! roasted turkey breast is terrible!!!ordered it as a complete dinner for thanksgiving..omg' thankfully it came early..the turkey was so dried out and precooked and presliced..no gravy...and totally tasteless. said to leave it out for 30 minutes before eating it..cautioned you not to reheat it atroom temperature because it can become hard and drier..it was covered in a spicy clove crust which i never ordered..had 3 room temp slices and it tasted like a hard bland spam.. all this & two sides for $94.00...looked like a large rolledchristmas log..they should stay with just ham..not good..decided to throw it out. and order a new thanksgiving dinnerfrom a top reviewed high end food retailer that i shop at ..be aware..

I have always enjoyed Honey-baked ham, but this experience was dreadful. I ordered a ham for delivery on Friday, knowing it might come Thursday or Saturday. When it hadn't arrived by Monday, I called Customer Service and got told nothing ships Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday, so the ham would arrive Tuesday. No ham by Wednesday, so I called again. Now told it would be delivered on Thursday - so I said please cancel the order. After a lengthy wait, she did so, and then said that if the ham arrived today, please throw it out because it would have gone bad!! I will not order hams for delivery any more!

I always love honey baked ham. The new double Mac n cheese was the inspiration for this visit and it didn't disappoint. It was creamy, cheesy with a slight garlic flavor. The ham had a dot more smoke flavor than we normally expect, which will be perfect in the Boston baked beans I'm making with the one!

This was the first time we went here. We were unsure of the portion size but we were pleasantly surprised at how large they were! To top it off, it tastes GREAT!!!

I have ordered honey baked hams for more than 10 years every Christmas and Easter, with excellent results. However, the ham I purchased last week for Christmas was awful. Instead of pink, the ham brown and dried out. There was no glaze and the taste was bland. What happened? Does the quality change with the location of the store? I guess I will have to experiment with other spiral hams.
