K-Town BBQ is everything I look for. The All You Can Eat option almost feels like I'm stealing with how much is on the menu for meat, all the options included at the salad bar, and the ice cream cups to cap off the meal. There are lots of options for drinks, but all you need is soju for the best experience. And most of all, I can't overstate how friendly the staff is. From the moment you step in and throughout your meal, everyone is very attentive, very helpful to newcomers and they create a casual and fun atmosphere that adds to the whole experience.

K-Town BBQ offers more than just a meal; it provides an unparalleled dining experience.
The restaurant offers high-quality meats and fresh produce for a one-of-a-kind self-serving BBQ adventure. Guests can enjoy ample seating, a vibrant atmosphere, a vast salad bar, and a n of liquor and beverages. But what truly sets K-Town BBQ apart is its outstanding team. lead by Manager Helen Do who impressed us with her friendly and attentive service, she spent time with us and never once made us feel rushed, you can tell she cares about each and every customer ensuring our visit was unforgettable. Likewise, our server Ngai was diligent and ensured our order was flawless.
K-Town BBQ is my new favorite Korean Fusion restaurant on the north shore!

What a disappointing experience, smh!
First, let us begin with the manner in which we were welcomed upon entering the restaurant; it took an excessive amount of time to be seated. Once we were finally seated, our waitress exhibited poor customer service. She took an inordinate amount of time to take our order and to serve our food. After we finished our first entrée, it took her an eternity to return and take our second order. Why was this the case? Because she was engaged in conversation with her coworkers for over ten minutes, smh! By the time we were able to place our second order, I was already feeling frustrated. The food itself was tasteless, lacking seasoning, and overall, it was a very unsatisfactory experience. To make matters worse, the prices were excessively high! I will never return to this establishment, and I would not recommend it to anyone!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience at K-Town was so appalling I felt obligated to warn others. I found not one, but two disgusting surprises in my meal: a long hair tangled in one of my meats and a small dead bug embedded in one of the meats. Totally unacceptable. When I brought it to the staff’s attention, they were dismissive and offered no real apology or compensation. This isn’t just bad service—it’s a health hazard. I walked out feeling sick and angry. Avoid this place at all costs.

All-you-can-eat restaurants promise abundance, indulgence, and satisfaction. Unfortunately, our recent visit to one such establishment delivered none of those things—instead, it left us with food poisoning, frustration, and a lingering sense of disbelief. What should have been a joyful evening of shared meals and good company quickly turned into a cautionary tale of poor hygiene, lax policies, and staff behavior that ranged from indifferent to outright hostile.
From the moment we walked in, the signs were there. The dining area was poorly maintained, with sticky floors and cluttered tables. Despite having a reservation, we were made to wait an additional 25 minutes with no explanation or apology. When we were finally seated, we noticed something unsettling: several people from nearby tables were coming and going with plates of food, yet none had wristbands or receipts—nothing indicating that they had paid. It became increasingly clear that the restaurant was allowing certain guests to eat for free, or perhaps simply not enforcing any kind of control.
We attempted to focus on our own experience, but it was hard to ignore the chaos. The buffet stations were haphazardly stocked, with lukewarm trays and food that looked like it had been sitting out for hours. Dishes were mislabeled or not labeled at all, posing a serious risk to people with allergies or dietary restrictions. We should have turned around then and there—but hunger and the sunk cost of time pushed us forward.
Within hours of finishing our meals, several of us began to feel ill. Nausea, stomach cramps, and vomiting followed—symptoms consistent with foodborne illness. By the next day, three members of our group had to miss work and one ended up in urgent care, where the physician confirmed it was likely food poisoning. When we attempted to call the restaurant and report our experience, the response was dismissive at best. We were told that “no one else had complained” and were subtly accused of trying to scam a refund.
Even more infuriating than the tainted food was the staff’s attitude. Rather than apologizing or expressing concern, they were rude and impatient. Questions were met with eye rolls or shrugged shoulders. When we mentioned that some guests appeared to be eating without paying, the response was simply, “That’s not your business.” Perhaps not—but when paying customers are subsidizing freeloaders while being served unsafe food, it becomes everyone’s business.
This experience wasn’t just disappointing—it was unacceptable. An all-you-can-eat restaurant has a responsibility to maintain food safety, ensure all guests are treated fairly, and respond professionally when something goes wrong. This place failed on all counts. We left not only with physical illness, but with the bitter aftertaste of being disrespected and ignored.
We hope this essay serves as a warning: sometimes, you get far less than you pay for—and sometimes, you pay far more than you should, with your health.
