Best roast beef on the North Shore. I've been eating here for over 20 years and it is consistently good. They wait until they see you to make the fries so they are nice and fresh.

Ordered combination seafood. What did I get? Mostly fries & onion rings. Very little seafood. Clams are tough like leather. All cooked in old oil. Taste was not palatable. The aroma does not suggest fish dinner. Mike's came highly recommended, but I am sorely disappointed. For 30bucks plus tax, I expected a lot better quality. Sorry to have to report this since I was really looking forward to a delicious seafood dinner. If you ask, No I do not suggest ordering from Mike's Place.

I've been going to this spot since the late 80s, any ways. I got a steak and cheese recently(tonight) with Xtra cheese n mayo. What I got, was a ton of steak over flowing making the bread soggy not just that the cheese and mayo was no where to be found or tasted. I don't like having just shredded steak if I did I'd get steak tips. What happened to putting the cheese on the steak while on the grill? Plus no need to over do the steak. I won't buy from here. The sub was dry but the roll was soggy and cheese n mayo was gone. Not enough cheese and mayo to steak ratio.

went and got a seafood shrimp platter for a late night meal after my shift but i mean a platter is obvious, you get a variety of other things like maybe fries or onion rings?!?!? but i paid almost up to $20 just for like 8-9 pieces of fried shrimp with a little dipping container of tartar sauce… only the shrimp in a little brown bag… loved the tartar sauce & shrimp but i felt robbed of my money… idk if it’s because i got there a little later when their about to close?? but the lady over the counter would rather talk to a old man waiting for his food than take my order when no one else was in the restaurant 10-15 mins before closing… so i felt pressured to get my food and get out..

We have ordered here countless times. When seafood is part of an order, please fry and bag separately for the non seafood people of the world! Our onion rings smell and taste like fish!
