I heard they changed owners not sure all I know is the food quality went down no more bread and they took things off the menu that we ordered all the time. I haven’t been back there in about a year.
Hadn't been to Polcari's in over a year as the food quality wasn't what it used to be. Tried it again this past Sunday night and got food poisoning from their chicken fettuccine Alfredo, which they screwed up anyways and didn't add broccoli as requested. I will NEVER go back, I'd rather pick up take out in the North End than go to over-priced Polcari's in Saugus and be sick for 2 days. No thanks.
Been visiting Polcari's for the last 30 years and tonight's visit will be the last.
Within 2 minutes of parking in the pick up parking space out front my vehicle was hit with a rock. This rock was thrown by a child from a party of 12-15 leaving the restaurant. I told them family I needed to talk with them about this as I was walking in to pick up a pizza. The entire family scattered in less then 2 minutes inside the restaurant.

The restaurant is large and pleasant, making it a good family restaurant. The entire meal is perfect and priced very well, with a huge menu. Their pizza is the best, wood fired brick oven, with fresh ingredients like the Giambotta. It is a great place for events, from a surprise party in a private room to a rehearsal dinner, with very affordable prices and attentive service. While the service can be slow during busy times, the attentive and friendly staff ensure a pleasant dining experience worth returning for.
