I had high hopes for this backyard bbq seeing that it had a 4.7 star review but it was quite the opposite. For starters i got half a rack of ribs and there was virtually no meat on the ribs, my first bite i bit into the bone because there was a layer of crust on the ribs that i thought was meat. For $17 the taste and the quantity was not there. Next i got a 1/2 pound of brisket and i was expecting to get a nice juicy and well seasoned brisket. They were moist but definitely not dripping and the flavor was the most underwhelming thing i’ve ever gone through. There was barely any crust on them and i’d be willing to bet no seasoning was used, even with the help of bbq sauce that was provided i still couldn’t get them down. Now the sides weren’t the worst all i have to say is it was a very basic mac and cheese nothing special and the fries were also the same deal. Overall i was very disappointed that i spent $45 on food that was less than mediocre and portioned very bad. I would not recommend eating here from the experience i had, your better off trying to find a recipe off of tik tok then wasting your money.

I meant to take a picture of my food and forgot. I stopped here on a whim during my workday - first open place I saw at lunch time. It was fantastic! I had pulled pork that didn't need sauce (though I added a little just to taste that as well), probably the best mac and cheese I've had at a place like this, and excellent cornbread. The food cam out quickly and the people working (I believe the owner and his daughter?) were friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a quick, quality, affordable meal, don't skip this place. I hope work brings me down to this area again soon!

I'd give this place a solid three stars. First of all, it is a family establishment, which is great and should be supported. The prices were also reasonable, albeit slightly on the pricier side. We tried the pulled pork and brisket. The meat was well seasoned and somewhat on the pepperier side. Between the two, the brisket was better, as the pulled pork was a little stiffer and in larger chunks than one might expect. Of note, as a former midwesterner, I might be more critical of my BBQ. That said, I'd come back to try some of the other offerings, like the ribs, which weren't available.

Absolutely horrible and totally inedible. We ate a very small amount and tossed it out. The meats, pork and chicken and ribs, were dry as sawdust and way, way over salted. Dry, salty and tasteless otherwise. Like they just salted it, added some liquid smoke, a ton of pepper, stuck it on the grill and there ya go. And EXPENSIVE! Coleslaw was just doused with a bit of Mayo and a smidge of vinegar. Flat and tasteless. Potato salad the same. Just white peeled potatoes with mayo No onion, no celery, and for the love of pepper on the meats, no pepper, no paprika, no egg, so sugar, no dill, no pickles, any one of which would have improved the tasteless potatoes. Maybe a little white vinegar, maybe. Beans were ok and that's all we ate except for a couple of bites of the other stuff. Really, really inedible. Sad but true. A good BBQ place would be nice to have in the neighborhood. This is not it.

The brisket is absolutely AMAZING. Maybe even better than the brisket down south in places like Terry Black's and Coopers. It was dreamy. Everyone was so friendly - service was great. I will definitely be going back - SOON!!!

This is definitely the best brisket I've had in New England and possibly the best pulled pork I've ever had in my life.I used to live in Houston, TX and ate Good legit BBQ often. I've seriously missed good BBQ since moving to NE two years ago. It sucks that I live in NH and it's a bit of a drive to Seekonk, but C&J's is totally worth the trip

Today was my first time going to this place. I love BBQ. I have never had anything like this. I had the brisket and OMG I had no crispy pieces. The flavor was perfect. I also I had to try the rib Egg rolls. This should not be together. But OMG I fell in love with them. On the way home I wanted to burp just so I could taste more.

Terrible place. Bland food that is overpriced. Owner is rude and his “wife” is there more than he is. Only thing that saved this establishment was the nice lady up front. Do better!

Oh man, I will update my review as I try more things, but the pork belly burnt ends that were on special today were incredible. Even though I only tried that one dish, that allowed me to sample their dry rub and bbq sauce (on the side). Both were spot on, so tasty. The pork nearly my melted in my mouth. Smoked to perfection. I got fries as a side and they were solid. Nicely fried and crispy, not floppy. I'll be back! Lastly, the service was friendly and fast!
