The Old Grist Mill Tavern

Honestly, I don’t normally do this, but…I was so excited to try this restaurant and SO very disappointed! We ordered appetizers and the overpriced, “homemade” crab cakes were cold and bland. The chicken wings were hot, but boring. The lobster roll was by far the most disappointing part of the experience! Blobs of lobster salad, placed on top of the roll, not inside it and the taste was off. Honestly, I don’t think the lobster was fresh and some crab got in there. The lobster did not taste fresh and the seasoning was not good. Also, cold salty fries on the side. My husband said the steak was ok. He had cold, bland soup for his side. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the food.

We are on vacation here & this was the first restaurant we chose!! Oh man this place is just top notch from top to bottom!! The food was amazing & our server Cheryl was equally as amazing!! The place itself is beautiful & has a beautiful pond u can sit outdoors by!! If u are ever in this area, I highly recommend this place!!

I had a bridal shower with the breakfast buffet for my daughter. I was very disappointed with the food as the French Toast Casserole dish was very cold like out of the refrigerator cold, the bartender was late so guests had to wait a long time for drinks and our server was trying to make drinks and serve. I had to keep asking them about giving guests coffee and tea. It was not a good experience at all. I’m very disappointed.

Went for dinner with friends. Wonderful dinner and place. Highly recommend this special place.

This a lovely spot. Beautiful decor inside, very cozy. The food is good, priced appropriately. Service was excellent the day I was there. My only complaint was the restaurant smelled like diarrhea and air freshener trying to cover it up on the Sunday I was there. Better ventilation, please! If it wasn't for this snag it would have been a very delightful experience

Went in for the dinner with my grandfather for veterans Day they say they aren't taking in walk-ins that we should have made a reservation and when they posted the add on there page they weren't expecting the turn out that they had. The woman was rude and they had half of the tables open. All I have to say is if your going to advertise like that hold up to it and if your not sure if a turn out then make sure you post on the add to make the reservation. Piss poor decisions

I came here for lunch with my mom and aunt and we had the best time! The food and atmosphere are so beautiful, but the best part was our server Cheryl - she is excellent!! I will 100% call ahead and make sure she’s working before coming in next time

I was treated to High Tea at the Old Grist Mill Tavern by my daughter. We were shown to our table set with beautiful tea cups and a tiered tray filled with delightful sandwiches, scones with jam, and a great selection of desserts. But that wasn’t all! The salad bar was also included! Plus the waitstaff were very attentive, coming by often to refill our tea or bring clotted cream. Having frequented many teas long ago, I was very impressed with this one. Their addition of the salad bar gave a new update to the traditional high tea and I, for one, will definitely be back!

This place looks amazing, great vibes. We got great service...the food is pricy, and lacking flavor. The seafood and green beans were quality ingredients but terribly bland like hospital food. No seasoning at all.

Me and my husband just had a great late luch there. Our server Hannah was very attentive. We were celebrating my birthday and I had a nice surprise with a chocolate cake.
The seafood was well cooked and the coleslaw and mac and cheese were delicious. Highly recommend.
