Imperial Chinese Buffet is a very nice and spacious place. The service is great, and the staff is friendly. There is a wide variety of food to choose from, and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant also has plenty of parking, which makes it very convenient to visit.
If someone in your party uses a wheelchair, the place is fully accessible, with a ramp and everything needed for easy and comfortable access. The hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11:15 AM to 9:30 PM, and Friday to Saturday from 11:15 AM to 10:30 PM. Overall, it’s a great place to enjoy a good meal with family or friends.

I had a great experience at Imperial Buffet in Shrewsbury. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well stocked throughout our visit. The crab Rangoon bites were especially good — crispy on the outside with a creamy, well-seasoned filling that didn’t taste overly greasy. The salmon really stood out too; it was cooked perfectly, flaky, and full of flavor, which isn’t always easy to find at a buffet. The spare ribs were tender and well glazed, and the lo mein was excellent — not dry, nicely seasoned, and full of noodles rather than filler. Both the chicken and broccoli and beef and broccoli were very good, with tender meat and fresh-tasting vegetables. The spring rolls and egg rolls were hot, crispy, and clearly freshly made. On top of the food, the waitstaff was very polite and inviting. They were attentive without being overbearing, quick to clear plates, and genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Imperial Buffet offers a solid variety of well-prepared dishes and great service, and it’s definitely a place I’d come back to when I’m craving a good Chinese buffet.

This was one of the worst place I have ever gone to. I drove 1hr just because my kids wanted to try a buffet style since we were on vacation. The staff had attitude, place smells really bad, not much of an option in food. While eating the staffs would stand their watching you eat which was very uncomfortable, and as soon as you put your plate down they would take it even though you weren't ready. As far as the billing goes they would be their waiting and would follow you around for their tips even though you put it on the bill. IF I could have given them a 0 I would, because we have the same exact buffet in watertown and they are fantastic.

One of the best chinese buffets around. Really good general tso's. Constantly bringing fresh food out. Wish the rice had more flavor and wasn't as sticky as it is. Friendly staff checking constantly for drinks and clearing table of dirty dishes.

You're rushed through your meals, watched while you eat, and treated like you're doing something wrong just by being there. The worst part is when it comes time to pay. On my last visit, we were instantly given dirty looks the moment we stepped in the door, before we had even said anything. After, my friend and I were splitting the check in cash. We were calmly and quietly counting what we had (knowing we had enough) and splitting up our money. It hadn't even been 2 minutes since the bill was handed to us, and the server came back over, hovered directly above us, and stared for a few seconds until asking if we needed help. I kindly told her we were okay, just splitting the money up, and that we had enough to cover everything. She stood there for another 2 minutes until we ended up just handing the cash straight to her and she walked right away. It felt so accusatory and invasive.
There's a big difference between being attentive to your tables and making customers feel constantly monitored. No one wants to feel like they're under surveillance while trying to eat or pay, especially loyal customers who have payed and tipped well every single time.
Overall, great food, but the rude, hovering service completely ruins the experience. If you don't trust your customers and treat them with respect, don't be surprised when they stop coming. After my last experience, I will not be back and spend my money there. And you shouldn't either.
