Sometimes it’s worth taking a chance in spite of a bad review. Especially when the positive clearly outweighs the negative. So I did and was not disappointed…

Lunch time stop. Great service and the samich was perfect…well could have been more meat…lol. But that’s me. The flavor profile was perfect.

This place was packed and I can understand why. We waited less than 10 minutes (we were quoted 15-25) so that was great at 6:30 on a Friday night. The place was packed. Great vibe, happy people. Service was fast and then the food. The boneless wings were so good, the best coating in my opinion. Then the entrees came and wow. I ordered fish and chips with fries and o-rings (both were clearly made in house) the fish was huge. My fiance ordered chicken picata which was perfectly sauteed and the sauce was *chefs kiss*. The prices were so reasonable I thought it was 2015. Can't wait to go back and bring friends.

I was looking for outdoor dining and Googled this place. After reading some of the reviews, I almost didn't go. I read "mediocre food. Not worth the price". Are you kidding me? First of all you're going to a pub that their main focus is selling alcohol. They had a large variety of food on the menu and even had a specials list. The prices were more than fair and reasonable. I also read "occasional mice that run by" Again, are you kidding me? You're eating outdoors. I did see a mouse. I rather see it outdoors than inside!!
I loved the place from the minute I walked in. Service was great. Food as expected. Prices were well within reason. Give the place a try and you will not be dissapointed.

This has always been one of our favorite local places to dine. We love the bustling, local atmosphere. Unfortunately, our visit last night 6/11/24 was very disappointing. We sat at the bar. The bartender was very nice and attentive. We ordered one of our favorite apps - potato skins. We waited over 20 mins for them. They did not look like their regular potato skins. They were skimpy, dry and over cooked. My mother-in-law ordered baked haddock and rice pilaf. The haddock was dry and the pilaf was flavorless. My husband and I had steak tips. The steak tips were cooked as ordered but the meat was tough. I had corn which tasted like canned corn and my husband said his broccoli was horrible. It just was not good. Like I said, it is our favorite place so it is sad. We will give it another chance but may need to go to Jimmy’s in White City instead. Not sure what has happened.?

A day...

Loud locals place with people in no rush.
Hostess was great helping get us a table on busy night. Waitress was apologetic but took a long time to appear; later had to get a bartender to find her for check.
Food was mixed. Two pasta dishes were good, one was oily and not edible. Steak tips undercooked but tough on outside. Asked for redo and came back same. Waitress did remove from check.

I visited this place at an unpopular, not busy time for an early dinner. It was “seat yourself” so that’s what we did. Waitress came over and greeted with menus. Then for some unknown reason, a different waitress came over after we waited a long time for anyone to come over and took our order. After eating it took a long time for someone to come over and ask if we wanted anything else. I didn’t like the service and the food was ok, bland boring so I didn’t bother with ordering dessert or a dessert martini. However, the bar was lively with friendly sociable, loud bartenders and customers. Seems like they just operate like a towny Shrewsbury bar and that’s their main focus. I doubt we will go back.

Have been coming here for years now! If you ever get the chance to have Jeremy as a bartender you won’t be disappointed. Great food at reasonable prices and top of the line bartender. Ya can’t beat it!! If I could give this place 10 stars I would.

This is one of our favorite local spots for fantasic food, service and drinks. Seafood specials on Friday and Prime rib on Saturday. Portions are huge and reasonable.
