China Lake Restaurant Reviews
we stop here from CONN the staff outstanding the FALLRIVER chowmein sandwich the best let us forget the outstanding FRIED RICE i have taken a ride with friends just for the Chowmein sandwich we will return Monday 4/28/25 5 plus stars
Gross food and actual prices are almost double what is listed on Google. 2 basic dinners and 2 egg rolls were $50!! I’m not sure what meat they are calling “beef” but it is unlike any beef I have ever had. It is inedible leather. Also, their prices are almost double what you see on google. They will lie to you and tell you they can’t update it. Dinners are almost entirely rice or noodle with virtually zero of the disgusting meat they serve. Never again
Been eating at China Lake for a long time, and today my mother and I was told she can not have her coffee with her in the restraunt.. the reason mom brings her own coffee is because her coffee is decaf, and with lactose free creamer which most places do not carry. Was told that she could not have it because the younger generation would want to bring their own drinks in, and because they have a liquor license. China Lake Restaurant offers a range of Chinese dishes, with reviews mentioning the #1 Chow Mein and egg roll as notable options. The restaurant's service is described as excellent, with servers being friendly and enthusiastic. The atmosphere is cozy, although the decor is said to be outdated. However, the main criticism of the restaurant is its high prices, with dinner combos and entrées considered expensive for the portion and quality of food received. Some dishes, like the pork fried rice and chow mein, have been reviewed as subpar, while others, such as the chicken fingers and egg roll, have received positive feedback. The restaurant is located 10 miles from Summers/Fall River and is described as different, and better, than Chinese food offerings in the rest of the country. Recently, customers have noted issues with ordering the Mandarin Triple meal correctly, often missing shrimp despite previous requests and repeated reminders. The menu has not changed much except for price increases after Covid, and the restaurant now closes earlier, which some find too early, especially on weekends. Takeout options are plentiful, with spring rolls, egg rolls, fried rice, and crab Rangoon receiving high praise for their quality. The staff on the phone and at the front are friendly, and the place appears clean. Some customers plan to visit again for cocktails. Others have expressed that the Fall River Chow Mein sandwich is the best they have had, along with outstanding fried rice, and they have even made special trips just for the Chow Mein sandwich, promising to return soon.
