Been coming here for years .best family restaurant in the region .food was great.service was excellent ? no complaints at all . always one of our favorite places.
The regulars won't check the Google reviews, but if you are new to the area and need food, well, keep searching.Microwaving the carrots in the plastic bag ( that's what they tasted like), clam chowder was milk with potatoes (and God knows what the surcharge was for). Prices like Providence downtown. It all doesn't add up.

AWFUL DO NOT ENTER! Greeted with our first drink for my child with some rotten milk! Food is terrible. Will be leaving to enjoy a gourmet bowl of spaghetti os on my couch!!! Will never return!

Worst food, toughest meat I ever had, the knives wouldn't cut it as well. the knives were so dull they had bering me a. handful so I could find one that cut. They were out of so many things. A far cry from when this place was nice... 40 years ago.. stay away.

Their food is very good. They are able to accommodate my food allergy as well. I am really going to miss this place when it closes. I remember eating at this restaurant with my grandmother, and my mom when I was a kid. I also ate here with my kids, my mom and stepdad. Those cinnamon rolls are the best. As my mom shines down on us from Heaven and is always with us, we are hoping to make it for one last family dinner. Magonis will be missed after all these years. Thank you.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp for wheelchairs. Someone just needs to help you open the door.
I didn't understand why I was treated the way I was. The server was rude and abrupt with me. I did not appreciate the comments she made. The register did not want to do a split payment. She did not have the patience. If the register doesn't seem to accept a split payment, you just need to explain that to the customer.
Kid-friendliness: Babies and children under the age of 5 should not be allowed.
My wife and I are from the west coast and flew into town for a family funeral. Were feeling pretty depressed and worn down, saw this place from the road driving to hotel and thought right away it looked charming and venerable. We weren't wrong - food, service, and conversation with our neighboring table were all 5 star. Anyone who says prices here are expensive is insane - our bellys were bursting with delicious parm and marsala. Thank you so much for everything, hope to be back some day.

Very disappointed in the specialSirloin and sautéed lobsterSirloin was tasteless and tough . Lobster was not sautéed but put under a bake/broil. Lobster was too dry too eatI don’t know what happened to the quality of their food. Just plain awful. it was 39.00 but not worth 5.Feeling really bad to post this as magonis has been one of my favoritesI would also like to add our waitress was very pleasant efficient

A varied and delicious menu for Thanksgiving. This is the first time in over 40 years that we did Thanksgiving at a restaurant. We will do it again. WOW!!
