Kinfolks BBQ and Fried Chicken

Very pleased with everything especially the hush puppies which were very fresh and hot. My only qualm is that they don't do dessert!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. “Market Price” for BBQ? I’ve never seen that before. Prices were insane for BBQ. Two 2 meat combos, 1 brisket dinner and larger order of hush puppies $75. Cornbread while good was basically cake, sweet, not what I knew growing up in VA as cornbread. Mac and cheese was really good, fried okra was basic frozen breaded okra that you get from a supermarket. Potato salad was, eh, ok. Hush puppies were good with excellent flavor but over fried and the outer breading had a lot of grease in it from being over fried. Now for the meats, Brisket was over cooked which made it dry and tasteless and it was obviously a bad cut of meat, it was loaded with fat, 3 of the 5 slices I got had way more fat than meat, the pulled pork was dry and flavorless. All 3 of us agreed that this would the 1st and last time there. Really disappointed, wanted it to be good but it just wasn’t. We wound up throwing a good bit of it away.

Best fried chicken in town! They make their fried chicken fresh to order, so it takes about 30 minutes but it’s so WORTH IT!! The batter is perfectly seasoned and it’s super crispy, the meat inside remains incredibly juice and tender! And the best part is: the chicken reheats nicely in the oven, even the breast meat! I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely go back.

Very disappointed. Got the 8 piece chicken and it was very dry and no crunch. Mashed potatoes were okay but were missing something. Would say the Mac n cheese was good which is why it got 2 stars. Wouldn’t recommend

Everything is amazing but we especially enjoy the fried chicken!

Waste of time ... This is my third attempt to get chicken and once again they have none. It is only 2:30 on a Saturday this time . Better of going next door to Big Y and getting chicken there. Three strikes you are out ...

Second time doing the 40 minute drive to do take out and we'll worth the trip. All the food, entree's, sides, cornbread phenomenal. My favorite and well worth the drive is fried chicken. Staff kind, attentive and provided excellent recommendation for a nearby park to eat.

Amazing food, ribs fall off the bone and great customer service with a smile.

Third time was a charm at Kinfolk...but so were visits 1 & 2!!! The ribs are among the moistest, tastiest, softest & finger lickingest I’ve ever had - blows away any of the chains, and that’s without using any of their sauces...but I highly recommend using either their spicy or Carolina mustard sauce to take them up another notch. Their brisket is similarly soft and moist - not easy for brisket. The pulled pork was a little dry, but their sauces make it pop! As for sides, the

Fantastic ribs and pulled pork. Both are incredibly tender and have a perfect smokiness. All the meats are great even without sauce. A must visit, but no indoor dining.

Been going here for years! Love this place! Great variety, options, very well executed. The house spicy BBQ sauce is what I always use. The staff is so polite!

Very friendly staff.Food was excellent! We got their ribs, brisket, pulled pork, Mac and cheese and fries. The ribs were outstanding and fell off the bone every time. Brisket is another favorite, it is always very tasty, I do wish a couple of pieces were sliced a bit thinner.Pulled pork was good, but maybe a bit dry compared to our other meats. This was not an issue as we mixed some sauce in and enjoyed it!The Mac and cheese is thick and creamy, and always goes fast in the house. The fries were good, but I don’t go to a barbecue place to eat the fries!Finally, we all love the sauces! The sweet barbecue sauce is the best I have ever had. Other members of the house like the mustard garlic and spicy barbecue just as much!I found the price very reasonable for the amount of meat we left with. Honestly, it was cheaper and better than ordering meals from the local pizza place!Can’t wait to go back! This will definitely be in our family rotation!

Ordered via phone and it was ready on time. When I tried the chopped chicken I was delighted at the smoked flavor and the juicy tenderness, and the ribs are without a doubt the best I've ever had with the meat being ready to fall of the bone at the slightest pressure, the flavor of the ribs being my only complaint (it was very faint but still tasty). My wife was good enough to share her brisket, even if it required a small wrestling match, which was also quite good (ok I'm struggling to do justice to it so I'm going simple) and I'll probably switch between it and ribs when doing the 2 meat combos (not enough stomach to manage the 3 combo). I didnt get sides this time which after seeing the selection I regret.

Just tried kinfolks for the first time.. We ordered a little bit of everything and it was all awesome.. Would definitely recommend

Best spot to get something when in a hurry. Their customer service is prompt, pricing is convenient, awesome character. I highly recommend this spot.
