For my daughter and I, this was a gem we found in the woods! ( so to speak). It is one of THE BEST places for breakfast or brunch It is more or less like IHOP. Service with smile, good food, and reasonable prices. I would have given 4 stars for atmosphere, but did not because they have two entrances (doors) that open directly into their parking lot. Every time the doors open, they bring in puff of fresh air and cold ( possibly some dust). Hope they make enough money to fix this. We loved it and we will keep going there!

Don’t like leaving bad reviews, but we were really disappointed by hash house. Our one and only visit included weak coffee, mushy toast absolutely saturated with butter, an omelette so salty it was inedible, and the kicker, the worst hash I’ve ever had. For a place called hash house, you’d expect decent hash, but I was served an overly salty, stale, chewy mess. On top of it, our waitress forgot multiple things, took our order down incorrectly and would ask us how things were, then leave before we could answer. We left hungry! Won’t be going here again.

Best place around for breakfast. Friendly family atmosphere and clean. Always busy but not much of a wait. Has an outdoor patio in warmer weather. Many food options including gluten free. Always cooked as ordered and always fresh ingredients. A well Oiled machine. Long standing. Give it a try!

I came into this restaurant with my service dog, he was stellar in his behavior. Out of respect for other customers, I requested a table away from all customers even though I do not have to do that. My dog made no noise, sat attentively doing his job. The waitress was amazing and very nice. We ordered our food and I told her that I would like 2 eggs for my dog. Unfortunately, I was out of town for the overnight/New Years holiday and left his food on accident and just wanted him to have a quick bite to hold him till we got home. I was CLEAR to the waitress it was for my dog. Be it that I do not work in the service industry, when the waitress handed me the eggs for my dog, I just put the plate down for him to eat. It just didn’t occur to me that I shouldn’t do that because other customers might complain because they eat off the plates. That was a very honest mistake on my part and I own that. I just didn’t think about it. They equally knew it was for my dog and could have also brought it over in a take out container. Again, honest mistake. A woman came over to the table, no introduction, no discretion. She just looked at us and said, “Do you realize now I have to throw that plate away because my customers will not want to eat off the plate.” My immediate response was to ,very courteously, say to her, “I am very sorry and I’m more than happy to pay for the plate.” She bluntly said okay and walked away. I was EXTREMELY nice to everyone. She was not discrete and not nice in her wording choice or the way she spoke to me. I felt awful about my oversight; however, immediately felt very unwelcome. My friend (a male) was angry and made a comment that he would blast her for that (meaning in a review). I asked who the woman was and was told she was the owner/manager. I opted to just ask for the check and he immediately went outside to the car with my service animal to wait in the car. The staff was looking at us as were the only customers seated by us. I felt very out of place and unwelcome. I paid $8 dollars for the plate. The customers sitting next to me apologized to me! They told me they could not believe she spoke to me like that and stated that could have been handled way different. I was so upset to be treated that way, it was very unprofessional and unnecessary. Would I recommend this restaurant for food, absolutely. I just don’t think it’s right to talk to anyone the way I was spoken to. Not for an honest mistake. You don’t treat customers that way. I gave them one star for service but my waitress was great. She was uncomfortable with the situation and it was not her fault.

I have a service dog and they allow service dogs. So how am I being charged for a plate that THEIR waitress served his food on knowing it was for my dog. The owner is a loser and should learn better customer service. I just go to the Gristmill Cafe. Griff makes better food and the customer service is definitely 5 star. Hash House rating zero

Devastated to say I don't care for the hash. Service is excellent. No frills spot with a large menu. They had pies to go for the holidays!

Been driving by this place for decades and last Sunday my wife and I decided to bring our kids here and have some brunch. From now on, this is my favorite brunch place so far. Sunday it was packed with people. The smell of coffee and breakfast was just so cozy. Especially with a rainy day, it was the coziest experience. We had to wait about 5 minutes but we were seated pretty fast and the table was very clean. The server was amazing. Took our order, made sure everything was done right and she did it with a smile on her face. Always making sure we had everything. Food took some time but once we got it, it did not disappoint and was worth the wait. I tried my wife’s coffee and it was one of the smoothest sip of coffee I ever had. Their chocolate milk was delicious. I had the Ruben Omelette and my wife had the Eggs Benedict. Both were so good. Their potatoes or house fries are the best! Hands down! The portions are big and very filling. Our toddlers enjoyed it. Overall the best experience and can’t wait to come back. Maybe gonna have to come here on Sundays with the kiddos as a family tradition. Thank you D&J’s Hash House for a great experience for our first try.
