I wish I could completely explain how inviting and cozy and unique of an experience Bar Shoppe is without exceeding Google’s character limit, but I think even then it would be doing the Shoppe an injustice.
You need to go here. You need to check it out. You need their smoked Manhattan. You need their fresh Margs. You need to check out the local art and the hanging plants. You need to sit on the patio or enjoy the dark quiet vibe of the bar sides. You need to go here—plain and simple.

I was antagonized by the owner here because it was assumed I was not leaving a tip. They all banded together to try and make me seem wrong when I mentioned it was not professional of Teresa to come directly in my face and insult me. I was clearly still present in the building and in no rush to run out after paying. I was told “They live off of tips” & “I wasn’t going to tip them in cash” when I said I forgot my wallet in the car; hint why I paid using Tap method. I have preference and that should be okay. I shouldn’t have several employees arguing with me and getting in my face when I’ve done nothing wrong. I enjoyed the space prior to being confronted unprovoked. The end result, is I was told if I was ever to come back they will call the cops for me “Trespassing” . Again this lady got in my face yelling & mischaracterizing me. However, I can only pray they don’t steal money out of my account by inserting their own tip, because it was my silly mistake in leaving the tip and total portion blank. I will watch for fraudulent tipping from them and if anything comes up I will add it to my review and report it to the BBB.

Eclectic place. Bigger than it looks from the outside, if you can’t find room there is more upstairs. Great drinks, friendly staff. Welcoming atmosphere. Go early as it fills up quickly! We went on a Saturday. Not for the sport bar crowds, more a place to relax and connect with friends.
