My first time here! Got myself a bottle of Acqua Panna (which I originally tried to correct the waitress and said you mean "Aqua-feena" as in Aquafina?) natural spring water direct from Tuscany, Italy (a Nestle product). Nice touch adding a couple lemon wedges and a couple lime wedges! For my appetizer, I am having the Adolfo's Wild Mushrooms (allegedly "Al's" favorite, served sautéed with crispy garlic and "e.v.o.o." - extra virgin olive oil). I am the only table, which is unusual for 8PM on a Friday, but the place has nice decor and is clean. They also have a sizable patio which is quite popular around here I am told. I also heard there is a DJ tonight and the place is much busier from 10-2. An Italian Nightclub?! I guess so! The food came out real fast (like 5 minutes). Damn these are good! Very, very, very salty (your sodium allotment for the week!) with a slight kick to them, but it's not a hot sauce or pepper. A bit dry too. I'm not sure what it is. For my next item, I am trying the chicken escarole soup. I haven't had escarole in probably 35 years. I've also never had this type of soup before either. I like the mellow music though. Definitely geared to the older crowd. A bit loud, bit it's not obnoxiously loud. I'm in the bar area anyhow...It is smoking hot and tastes like real chicken soup! I like it! Definitely has a homemade taste to it. Contains pasta, celery and carrots too. I couldn't taste the escarole though. Still, it was well worth the 10-15 minute wait. For my next item, I am trying the spinach salad (grape tomatoes, walnuts, Gorgonzola cheese and finished with hard apple cider vinaigrette). This is going to be different. Alcohol in my salad. It's cool in here too so the AC is definitely cranking. Nice weather outside (79 when I drove up around 5 PM). They don't cheat you on the walnuts! For my entree, I am having the (small) Scrod Florentine (scrod fillet topped with plum tomatoes, fresh spinach, light garlic, white wine, asparagus, and diced tomatoes in a lemon herb sauce with a side of pasta). Me eating pasta?! What is the world coming to? Regardless, this is real good! I would recommend getting the "small" portions (the price on the left of the "/" on the menu) first before buying the "large." It's still a lot of food!

come here for some outdoor space during the warmer months. dog friendly, nice drink options, DJ spinning all night long. food is pretty mediocre but the portions are ridiculously large (we tried two of the pasta options). solid option in downtown springfield

Had dinner as part of a large group. Service was a little slow, but it was a packed house. The food however, was well worth the wait. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be returning on my next visit to the area.

This is our favorite restaurant in Springfield. Six of us had dinner here to celebrate a birthday. Bethany was our waitress, and she was excellent. She was really friendly and very helpful. 3 people had a shellfish allergy and took good care of them. For dinner two of us had the veal Parm on the bone which is a huge meal and very delicious. Also we had Italian trio which is excellent with a meatball a sausage and braciole, sausage and broccoli rabe with pasta and the wild mushrooms app which is fantastic. Charlie is a very welcoming manager, and Eamen is an excellent bartender.

Food was excellent, service was excellent. They even had a set-up with Coffee and Italian cookies to help yourself to at any time. The owner came around and asked how are meal was and offered us a drink of Lemoncello. I would go back again.

Talk about old school Italian. This place has endless charm and it all starts with the classy owner, Victor. We walked in late one night and the owner himself took care of us. I'm not a huge pasta person by any means, but I took his recommendation on the pink vodka pasta w/ sausage and boy was I happy. Glad I got the large portion as the serving sizes were hearty. They really looked to take care of us and the wait staff was very helpful as well. They even brought some seasoned mushrooms out on the house, that were delicious. If I'm ever back in Springfield I will be sure to come by Adolfo's. I also hear good things about the pizza joint next door but alas they were closed during my visit (although the owner did offer to open it up and make me a pie!). Tremendous respect for the owner and what he's done with his fathers namesake restaurant and the surrounding area. It's nice to come to a family owned and run establishment and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Thanks again. Bon Appetit!
