I googled this restaurant and it had a 4.6 rating. Cool. I am not from the area and wanted Caribbean food. When me n hubby walked in, nobody was at the counter to greet us. There was a small piece of paper taped to a billboard with the menu. Prices were very high. The swinging door to the kitchen was Filthy!! We stood there waiting for another 3 minutes and nobody came out! There was a bell but I shouldnât have to ring a damn bell! When we came in the door slammed so somebody should have come out. Extremely unprofessional! What the hell kind of service is that!! So much filth on the door, they canât possibly be washing their hands. Disgusting!

Extremely expensive. I âm from the Boston area, and I eat Haitian food all the time. I am a student on a budget. I went during lunch hours and no other customers in sight. First tell-tale sign, most Caribbean restaurants that are have great tasting food, have people waiting outside the door or on the inside it is jammed packed. I should have known when the place was completely empty. No aroma from the food, even after they cooked my order. The meat was awful. It's a Haitian restaurant, and beans and rice were so dry. This is easy, how you going to serve dry peas and rice? It tasted like it was sitting in the refrigerator for more than three days. There is no flavor in the the meat, it was terrible. Don't waste your money folks.

We drove almost 2 hours from Rhode islands to come to C and J restaurant. The food there is amazing, flavorful and authentic. The owner and his wife are great people, good customer service and the price is good. Would definitely recommend.
Despite having only gone here once this might be my favorite restaurant in MA. I recently just moved to Amherst but go to school in California and my family has mad the drive multiple times to Springfield just for C&J. This has to be the most authentic Haitian food Iâve had in America, nothing beats the goat. Jacques, the owner is so kind and always fosters good conversation and gives great advice. I heavily recommend this place, they offer large portionsâ great for a party or gathering!

Oh my God I never had a haĂŻtien food so tasty. The fish tasted soooo good I canât even describe it. The Lalo (koupĂ© dwĂ©t) finger licking good, rice and other dishes delicious. I will recommend it to everyone. Customer service 10 out of 10. The owner Mr. Jacky knows how to welcome you. C and J Restaurant is the best .
