People couldn't believe it was GF and DF. Everyone is still raving about the cake - it was a highlight of the evening. If you're gluten-free and/or dairy-free this is the place to get your cake!

I placed a completely customized order with this bakery for my sister's birthday with the order being completely vegan, I ordered a cake and a dozen cupcakes. I went into this order fully expecting to enjoy it that much due to the nature of vegan desserts being known for being dry and bland. Not only was the cake and cupcakes exactly how I envisioned it but that was probably some of the best cake I have ever had. It was super moist and exactly how it would taste in a normal cake. The chocolate cake was to die for and the frosting was flavorful and perfect. It was so good that even an hour after enjoying the cake my family kept talking about it giving it high praises. Even the kids loved it and made a mess with it like kids normally do. My sister, who the order was for, was very very happy and very impressed with the desserts especially since they can't enjoy normal desserts due to dietary restrictions. And when I went in to pick up my order both Alysia and her team were so welcoming and kind. This place alone made me understand why there are families and people out there have their bakeries that they are loyal too end order from for every event and holiday. Both my family and I will be coming here for our future events, birthdays, and holidays.

Alysia and her team at Carefree Cakery made a delicious birthday cake for my son's 20th birthday last week. It was vegan and gluten free, half lemon/half strawberry -- and 100% delicious. We had a mixed group, including one vegan, two gluten-free eaters, and four without allergies/preferences and EVERYONE loved the cake. It was moist and didn’t have that grainy or dense texture that gluten-free and vegan cakes often have. (I’ve been vegan for 25 years — I’ve had my share of dense, grainy desserts!) This might be the best testimonial about the cake: I had a very hard time only eating one piece that night and ended up having a slice the next morning for breakfast. :-)

She offered to order the toppers for me; some of them arrived broken but she managed to create leaves which looked so perfect at no additional cost.
