Came here after a concert, so the place filled in fast. The food was good, even though our order was incorrect. The staff was very friendly. Expect a longer wait time if packed. They don't rush you out.

Had buffet breakfast after a night at MGM. Goox variety, fresh, and hot. Exceptional wait staff. Even included to go cups to take coffee with us.

Second time here, foods horrible. Watched the waiter fill my cup of water with a handwashing sink. Disgusting. Never returning.

I could sit here and write all sorts of flowery language to make my point, but I don't think anything will drive home that point like the simple truth. A half empty restaurant and 47 minutes to get nachos. The end. Welcome to Springfield.

*NOTE: THIS IS NO LONGER CHAMPIONS* This place is now just the Tower Square Hotel bar... or something generic like that. That is because the hotel, the Tower Square Hotel, is no longer a Marriott, and Champions is a Marriott company. (Who knew??) That being said, this place was just fine with me the other night. The manager worked really hard to try and find my football game (Seahawks v. Raiders) and she couldn't; she tried for like twenty minutes. She and the bartender let me sample beers, and the wings were good. The nachos were okay. I think the most challenging thing with this place is the fact that it is no longer a Champions. It's also tucked inside this downtown Tower Square building thing which may or may not be in the process of succumbing to Springfield's new MGM casino down the street. It seems like the identity has been lost-- probably because it has. Still, I had a good time there and I will plan on going back. If you're in Springfield, why not give it a shot?

Keep trying this place as the food was always decent even though the service is the worst in the city. Slow and non-attentive. When you have a group in during lunch the restaurant should have a waitress and know you only have 1 hour. This place has no wait staff. There is 1 bus boy who runs around doing the best he can. Not to mention they do not split the check. Today's meal (tenders and fries) was not even cooked thru. Chicken was slight pink inside and fries were not even cooked fully. The managers could not even figure out how to run the cards used at time of paying. Prices have also been increased in recent months. Do not go here, plenty other places with-in walking distance.

In one short year, this place has disintegrated into a dump. The room wasn't clean. The coverlet wasn't clean. The pillows were lumpy. The upholstered chair had rips in it. I made a reservation 3 months ago for a room adequate for 3 people. I got a room with one bed. Are you kidding? It took them a half hour to find another room. Are you kidding? No summary of charges was left under the door. They double charged me for parking and some other mysterious item that I've yet to discover. There was NO room service. Head across the street to the Sheraton.

I ate here twice during my stay in Springfield at the hotel (formerly Marriott) attached to the restaurant. Dinner the first night was decent, I had a salad and beer and it was good, nothing special, but what you'd expect. Service was slow, but me and my colleague weren't in a rush so it wasn't an issue. However, I came back the next day to get lunch and watch the NCAA tournament. The place has plenty of TVs, but half were off or not on the games. All the others were on a single game, which you wouldn't expect from a "sports bar". It took 10 min to get me a menu and I was the only person at the bar, the bartender was either busy, or clueless (see my previous comment about how busy the place was). Wasn't asked a single time if I wanted a second drink or how my food was. My burger was decent, passable, but far from special. Just overall- lack of care, lack of service, and not a good experience

I used to like going there for a decent meal while on business. Conveniently located inside the Marriott. It's now only open for breakfast. Your only choice is the sports bar with you guessed it ... no health food. Too bad.

The poor quality of the food was exceeded only by the horrific service. My mouth is burning from the salt and my grilled fish sandwich came with its very own grease puddle. We came in at 12:30 but even though we were seated right away didn't receive our first drinks until nearly 1. The wait staff explained this by saying she was the only person covering about 25 tables. The reason for this is a mystery because the restaurant should have known the hotel was fully booked since the hotel runs it. Once the food arrived she was not back until well after we finished even though the restaurant had cleared by then. Some in our party never did receive the drinks that they ordered, so we went to the bar ourselves and got a pitcher of water., and then went back for a refill. And although there were sufficient funds to cover our check when we counted (twice) at the table - including the mandatory 18% tip, ouch - we were somehow short when she counted the money at the register. The only good thing was the tv screens - this would not be a bad place to watch a game as long as you didn't need to eat or drink. In summary: food, 1 star, service 0 stars, TV 3 stars.
