We only ate got food and coffee here as it was the only breakfast option at MGM Springfield. My husband that the coffee was tolerable but not great. The pastries are just stored in a cooler and didn't taste fresh. The hot breakfast sandwiches are good but they seem to have a limited inventory as the second day we visited they were out of some of them. Service is inconsistent. First visit the female employee was pleasant and efficient. Next day the male employee was very unfriendly and snappish and it wasn't even busy. There is a Dunkin' and Burger King within two blocks from the hotel if you want other options.
Tried to get some gelato took a long time then ordered gelato and then was told I could not use my debit card their machine not working the cashier told us to go to the other side. Went to other side and she totally ignored us. So then they told us to just go ahead and take the gelato without paying.
Was hoping to get ice cream or dessert at MGM Springfield casino but the place was closed at 7:00pm. Don’t really remember encountering any closed ice cream stands at Mohegan or Foxwoods at 7:00pm. I guess MGM’s definition of world class is different than my definition. Very sad place. I hope things change when the competition in Boston opens.
It was average to above average Gelato. The server was nice, and he recommended some other restaurants and let me taste two flavors before I made my final choice. Well worth the calories!
