The rudest customer service I’ve ever experienced. Yes I did get there 15 minutes before closing, if That’s a problem close earlier! That is absolutely no way To treat a paying customer. Not sure who the young lady was that served me today, but rolling her eyes, huffing & puffing & not making my order correctly simply because you’re closing in 15 minutes was completely unnecessary. I specifically said NO granola in one of my bowls, because my grandmother who is 78 years old, can’t chew them, My request was not only ignored, but she didn’t try to make it right. All three bows were made incorrectly. One of them missing a topping which I didn’t realize until I opened it at home. Furthermore, my grandmother couldn’t even eat her bowl because of all the granola So that was a waste. The bowls are good, but not even worth the attitude that comes along with it, along with the overpricing for some fruit. Sad because they lost not only one but 4 Very frequent customers.

I have to say none of my issues are with the food that they serve. Their customer service absolutely blows. In a restaurant with one person working behind the counter and five people in line the worker was focused more on call ahead GrubHub orders than even asking anybody in the line if they would like to be helped. Maybe I'm outdated but when I used to work at restaurants or in the retail business, anyone who called up on the phone or did anything on the internet was handled last. The people that actually took the time to come into your restaurant instead of being lazy or the ones that were helped first. I understand the way the world works and now everything is switching to all this electronic garbage however if you're going to focus only on electronic orders maybe close your doors and only allow electronic orders

SAFE FOOD HANDLING NOT GOODI ordered a bowl one evening 12/13 at 7:30pm, it contained seafood and it was very filling it tasted fresh a bit heavy the sauce but it was delicious, BUT they must have not handled the seafood properly because on the next day I got food poisoning symptoms. Seafood needs to be handled very carefully or it can grow harmful bacteria. never again… and people can sue for this.

Off the top here, I had written a four star review for this location in Breckwood Plaza in Springfield from years ago. However I noticed recently that review was somehow transferred to the Joy Bowl in East Longmeadow, a relatively new location which definitely wasn't open when I made my review, so that review has been deleted. So now I have a new review for this location. My wife and I typically do take-out, each of us getting a build-your-own poké bowl (usually the three protein option) and the steamed vegetable gyoza. We used to get the regular (meat) gyoza and honestly either option is very good. Their dipping sauce does a lot of the heavy lifting as it is very flavorful. The build-your-own poké bowls can be made with a variety of bases (including white/brown rice, lettuce/mixed greens or seaweed salad, or "noodles" (which is effectively linguine)), proteins, fruit and vegetable add-ins, sauces, and a few toppings. This variety gives you the opportunity to try a lot of different things on ensuing visits until you eventually find a mixture that works for you. Once again the sauces typically do a lot of the work as the proteins are generally unseasoned and vegetables are uncooked, but for me it's about finding a good mix of textures and not overwhelming yourself with sweetness (which can happen with the mango or pineapple or the unagi (eel) sauce).I have visited this Joy Bowl enough times to say my review would be five stars if not for one thing: inconsistent bowl filling. My wife and I have recently gone whole food plant-based with a carbohydrate limitation, so rather then getting rice for the base we have been opting for the lettuce/mixed greens salad. Lately this has meant that the quantity of filling has not been as satisfactory, an issue which seems to depend on who is filling the bowl. Salad can be smushed down moreso than rice but, more often than not in recent weeks, whoever has been filling the bowl hasn't made an effort to compensate for this, and we have been left wanting more food. If you are getting rice or noodles for a base, this inconsistency probably won't be an issue for you. For me, for the price being paid, and at a time when there's not a lot of money to spend on eating out, this dissatisfaction has lead to us opting not to go to Joy Bowl.In summation, Joy Bowl's food is quite tasty and satisfying...when there's a reasonable effort made by the person building the bowl.(It also wouldn't hurt to find a way to keep the entrance door from slamming shut, but I suppose that's a bigger issue for the people dining in and the people who work there!)

Excellent Poke! No issues here. Fresh, delicious and quick. We'll worth the drive for us. We left the Air show in Westfield and searched Yelp! and found this place. Friendly staff as well!

This was my go to for food but after today certainly not. I received expired FISH. Taste was so horrible. I had to throw away my entire bowl just so I wouldn’t get sick.

Food was fresh and delicious. Sriracha aioli was exquisite. Food is very healthy, tastes good, and loaded with nutrients.

I had the "make your own" bowl. It was a nice big serving with LOADS of fish. The fish was a little bland -- I added some lemon juice -- but I didn't pick dressing/sauce because it was my first time and I wasn't sure how it worked. A satisfying, healthy lunch.
