Our experience at Max's Tavern was fabulous! Marie was an outstanding server checking in on our party of 4 regularly. The French Onion soup is amazing. All of our entrees were cooked perfectly and delicious. Marie helped with our birthday celebration bringing the dessert with a candle and 4 forks to share. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Dined here twice. Once for lunch and the other for brunch. Good food, excellent servers and at the entrance to the Basketball Hall of Fame. If you're traveling north to or south from ski country this is an “Easy” on and off for I-91. An ideal spot to stop and eat a very good meal before finishing the drive home from Vermont.

First time here. Food and drinks were great New York strip with truffle fries.. excellent.. Wife got seafood sampler .. presentation was really nice. Big round platter with shrimp clams oysters salmon tuna with a kind of champagne butter sauce and cocktail sauce.. food definitely left me full and feeling satisfied.. service was great ..ambiance was very nice intimate lighting.. quiet yet you were able to socialize without feeling like you were making too much noise . Conveniently located next to the Basketball Hall of Fame and Insa cannabis dispensary.. and after all that if you still have the munchies..Cold Stone creamery next door

Max's Tavern provided a memorable dining experience with excellent food, attentive staff, a diverse yet easy to navigate menu, unique craft cocktails, and digestible prices. Ample parking and a simple process to get seated. I saw groups of young and old there when I dined on Saturday night. The ambiance provided for a fun setting while being able to easily converse at the table.

Double cheeseburger was delicious, table had no complaints about food. Overall a solid experience. Bar service was a bit slow considering the amount of people in the restaurant at the time.

Well known restaurant and not cheap, which is ok as that is the type of dining it is. I found it odd they did not have enough menus even though it was only about 2/3 full on a Tuesday. I ordered the 54 dollar NY strip. The waitress returned a few minutes later to inform me they did not have any strips. It always annoys me when a restaurant runs out of a regular menu item, and it was only 6pm. Of course she recommended the more expensive aged strip. I asked if I would be charged the regular strip price since it was their issue as to not informing me before I ordered but she responded that it would be 58 dollars. Not happy with the correction, or really the lack of correction. I ordered the 56 dollars ribeye which was very good but not what I really wanted. I have been a few times over the years and it is nothing special, but very tasty. This was a gift card use and I still have money on it so I will be back to use it. Hopefully they will have the strip

There was a wedding in the back room so the restaurant was super loud and very busy so service was slow
Ordered a bowl of French onion soup it took 20 minutes to get it. It was burnt then came my filet mignon for 50 something dollars overcooked. The bartender asked me. Do you want to take the soup to go? Nothing about how was your steak? It cost me $100 for a bowl of soup and a steak which I don’t mind paying if it was worth it. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else.

It was my first time dining here, and I really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and exceeded my expectations. We were outside, and the noise from traffic ranged from quiet to moderate, but it didn't affect the overall experience. The servers were excellent and patient with us. I'll definitely go back.

A group of us all from the same college get together once or twice a year at Max's tavern. It is always good to great. Cocktails, food etc. Our server was wonderful as was the food.
