This is the worst experience my family has ever had at any business. My elderly uncle and aunt accidentally left a purse at this McDonald’s location. Inside were their Dominican passports, national ID cards, $750 USD, 20,000 Dominican pesos, a cellphone, and essential medication.
According to the Springfield Police Report (#25-14169-OF), an employee found the purse, handled it, and took it to the manager’s office. When we returned the next day to retrieve it, after hours of waiting inside the store, we were told by the manager over the phone that the purse had been “thrown out.” However, none of the valuable items were recovered, and the explanation we were given made no sense.
Based on the police investigation and the behavior of the staff, it is our strong belief that the items were stolen while in the possession of McDonald’s employees. The report even lists the contents as STOLEN, and the staff could not provide clear or consistent information about who handled the purse.
This incident caused enormous hardship. My uncle had a medical emergency from the stress and was taken to the hospital. We spent substantial time and money traveling to replace foreign passports and identity documents at the consulate in New York. Their entire trip was ruined.
The lack of accountability, responsibility, or compassion from the staff and management was shocking. No one offered help, updates, or honesty. For a business handling customers’ property — especially such sensitive documents — this level of negligence is unacceptable.
We have since filed a complaint with the Massachusetts Attorney General, and this matter is now being handled through corporate and legal channels.
I hope this location receives serious review!!!!!!!

Just went through the drive through and it was fast and simple. The girls at the window were polite and double checked my order before handing it to me. Greatly appreciated as sometimes I get the wrong drink at other locations. Keep up the good work!

I’ve been to this location multiple times and today was the worst so far I was sold 2 of the same sandwiches wen I only wanted one and I told I wanted extra fries for my son happy meal I didn’t get it I tried calling but the phones are disconnected
