The food was great as usual. Its always nice to everyone always working so hard in the kitchen to get everyone's orders ready for them in a timely manner. And its always nice to see Nick!
I highly recommend Typical Sicilian!

Ordered dinner for my family this evening... Usually the food is amazing every time. This time we ordered meatball paninos, pasta and a pizza. The pasta wasn't cooked and was super spicy we couldn't eat it... The chicken was burnt and we got chicken parmesan paninos instead of meatball. I called to tell them the issue and the *manager* Nick basically told me we were wrong and we ordered chicken..ummm nope cause 2 of us were there and we wrote down what we ordered. I sent pictures to the Instagram account and they refused to do anything in return for our meal. They were rude and inconsiderate and lost weekly customers. Won't go back and will review on all platforms.

Was craving tiramisu and ordered some for takeout. I received a cup of chocolate mousse with a little marscapone on top. I am genuinely so appalled and disgusted.

In short: an authentic, deliciously comforting, gourmet dining experience downsized to take out only.
Order times are on the longer side, usually they say 40 minutes, but I'm more than ok waiting, it's well worth it. You can tell it's made fresh and with quality ingredients. They are very consitent in quality, portions, and good service. I have never had an issue with an order or had to wait for service. The snug parking issue is forgotten as soon as you walk into an always clean and welcoming place that keeps your food warm for you in case you're running a bit late. The prices are higher than your average pizza place but Typical Sicilian is far from average. My wife and I have been tasting our way thru the menu and there is no disappointment in sight. Everything, from the positive anticipation after opening the containers, to that first bite that gives you that deeply satisfying "mmmmm", is just a pleasant experience every time. I have added some pictures of a few dishes we have tried, to be clear, some are so good that my wife dug in faster than I could get the camera. My wife loves the Chicken Francaise here.
I recommend you check the specials regularly, I appreciate that they actually update this unlike a lot of places. Just last night I was a little sad they didn't have the Penne vodka with chicken and prosciutto anymore, but quickly got excited to see the stuffed pork chop that I immediately decided on and it was GOOOOOD!! The maple bourbon cream is amazing and I saved the leftover sauce for a chicken and waffle breakfast I made this morning...I might need to ask if I can buy a bottle of just the sauce! Speaking of sauces, the Typical sauce is perfect for pasta, it's creamy but not too heavy, much better than any alfredo sauce I've had. I personally love tortellini and maybe some day I'll find a tortellini dish in the specials (besides the soup I hear is very good and will be trying).
The flavor palette of the menu covers hearty pasta, wood fire pizza, Mediterranean type salads and apps, and also covers your meaty dinner cravings.

The food is always good. You get consistent quality all the time. If i had one issue with the current Typical Sicilian is the quantity has gone down by the price is going up. When you got a bucket of pasta in the past, it would feed you for days. Now, the bucket is half the size it used to be. I understand that costs go up every year go by, but when you're paying close to $40 for a bucket of pasta, you should get at least a couple pounds of pasta in the bucket

Typical Sicilian is our favorite take-out place. It's unfair how good the Penne Typical Pasta Bucket is!

The chicken parm pasta bucket had only a staining of sauce and barely any chicken. Really disappointed.

I love a good woodfired pizza. It was perfectly thin and they put a lot of ingredients on top. It was my first time there, but I definitely will be back! I live in Connecticut, but I work in mass so this will be my new spot??

Used to go for special occasions to dine in prior to Covid when it was full service in Spfld. This ELong location is now take out only. Still order here about once per month, 10/10 always fantastic food. Get a bucket of the penne typical and you'll easily get 6-8 portions with zero lack in quality. Folks at the counter are always friendly and quick. You will not be disappointed (unless they run out of arancini)! Parking does kind of suck but you'll be in and out quickly.
