Loved the shrimp and grits, super cheesy, the fried egg was perfect and the bacon brought the plate together. The Portuguese French toast was perfect. Jerk wings were not jerk to me or my friend, tastes really good but not spicy at all. I did not enjoy my drink at all, it tasted like watered down juice (Welch passion fruit juice). The servers were really nice, met the owner who happened to be our server and she was friendly and super accommodating.

When i go out to eat, i don't only grade a place by the food.
Having said that, how are we in 2024 and this place is cash only? To me it just means a cheap owner not caring about the convenience of their customers but unwilling to pay the 2%-5% cc fee. Also hand written receipt, in 2024? Again cheap owner unwilling to invest in a computer/internet. Would probably get more orders too i.e doordash etc. The place itself also needs so upgrading. Floor ceramic in bad shape, part of the wall on the small side is not even fully painted For music they literally have a speaker playing on a chair lol
As for the food, like many others wrote, it was pretty good. I had the jerk chicken and french toast and wife had the shrimp and grits.
TLDR: Great food but owner needs invest in the upkeeping of the place. Cash only place in 2024 is a no-no.

I've visited this restaurant quite a few times and was always delighted with the food and drinks and service. I visited Sunday with my husband and daughter. Our bill already had the 20% tip added to it. I questioned the young lady and she informed me that they add the tip when the bill is over $75.00. I tip generously all the time when I am satisfied with my meal and good service. I did not like the fact that my tip was added for me. Generally the tip is added with groups of 6 or more. Also, the Specials prices are not shown. We payed more for the special when the same regular meal (Haitian rice dish) with a different protein was way less but conveniently that protein was not available that day.
