Stopped in with a friend for coffee about 6:30pm on 3/18. Cynthia has struck again. Management was conducting meetings with employees in the dining room. My friend and I witnessed someone being dressed down by Cynthia and some white women and basically she was being raked over the coals about something that had happened previously during some workshop, but it was very uncomfortable because we could both we could hear everything that was going on, and it just seemed unprofessional and unfair that this person was having to have this conversation in a very public space that should have been done in private. Employees deserve better and they deserve to have dignity even when they are having a conversation about something that needs to be fixed, and this was not an example of an employee receiving dignity or any kind of consideration for what was going on.

There are two PANERA managers in the dining room tag teaming another employee having what should BE A PRIVARE CONVERSATION. And what is being said is reprehensible.

Passing through Stoughton today, I stopped at this location for dependable, delicious fare and was not disappointed.
My dine-in experience, however, was definitely a ONE STAR event, as I was obliged to overhear what I assumed to be management ("Cynthia", another employee called her) speaking so shockingly condescending to her subordinates, that I nearly lost my appetite. Perhaps this location has issues retaining employees? I can imagine why.
So, district manager of this location, if you can read this, please allow me to suggest a closer examination of how long the polite, helpful and astute (my order was PERFECT) subordinates under this manager are being treated. They deserve to be treated with human decency at the very least, please.

They did not have food available at 8:40pm. They’re supposed to close at 9. Nothing was available. They need to repost hours if they’re closing before 9.

We got there and ordered some cookies and a meal, we got our meal but never got our cookies. I was incredibly disappointed. I also ordered a lavender lemonade and never got it. There was also a kid that was being very loud and disrespectful and the employees didn't even bother to do anything.

Panera used to be one of my favorite restaurants until I visited the Stoughton location. For the past 2 years things have gone from bad to worse… But today I had an exceptional experience! Apparently there is a new manager and she means business! I actually overheard her telling the 2 cashiers that moving forward they are to greet every customer that walks through the door whether they say hi or not! It’s the small things! She also told the girls on the line to use their inside voice which was necessary since the girls are usually loud and obnoxious.
Great job Megan! Keep up the good work!
Ps. I loved your recommendation. The chipotle avocado melt was incredible! My new favorite!

It boggles my mind how service can be so bad now a days. I was told they are not able to warm up a breakfast pastry. But wait! I do have the luxury of heating it myself in a microwave basically on the floor. I'm so glad tipping was not an option because I would have requested a tip myself since I needed to provide my own service when most of the food here is microwaved any ways.
