I’ve been to this place many times before and always left good tips, but tonight was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I forgot my ID one time, and instead of handling it respectfully, they refused to serve me. I understand the Massachusetts laws for drinking without proof of ID, I’m 22 and have shown my ID to three different waitresses (2 out of 3 were present) prior to coming that one day. I started going there as soon as i turned 21 because it was my boyfriend’s favorite place to go with friends. For my 22nd i got all dolled up and headed over with a small group of friends and it simply went terrible. I took a sip of my boyfriend’s drink, and they went as far as to take his drink away, even though I’ve shown my ID here plenty of times in the past without issue.
One of the staff members (a white girl, thin hair) was extremely unprofessional—she started an argument with me, gave me attitude all night, and ultimately banned us. She was staring me down the entire time, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. She sat directly next to our table all night Literally watching over my friends and I. The food was just okay and still took 25 minutes to come out, and we only ordered two items. On top of that, the music was terrible, they didn’t match the vibes with the music whatsoever.
The only positive thing I can say is that the atmosphere itself was calm, but the service completely ruined it. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, and this was the opposite. Without the black girl with dreads, this place would honestly be nothing. I will never be coming back after the way my friends and I were treated tonight. It was not needed to ban us i was already so disappointed with the service and how they treated us, i was never going to return. Being a black owned business I genuinely had such high hopes and expectations, the service was disgusting and just so awful.

The nicest local bar. I love going here for 1 drink because of their proximity. I end up staying for 2 hours because of the bartender and or staff. Or other customers start a conversation. Really nice place with great music and vibe and drinks and food. Thank you!

First time and last time these waiters are young and they don’t have great customer service they hear you talking about their service but yet they said nothing they brought out burnt shrimp flatbread and justified it by it being a last call but brought out all the food that was Leaving out the door but with the people in the restaurant they delivered you with burnt flatbread. How long does it take to make shrimp flatbread? Shrimp? Doesn’t take that long to cook so how do you bring out fries? How do you bring out shrimp tacos in a whole Nother meal but have the people in your store in your restaurant waiting for flatbread and then to bring it out burnt and then say oh well he’s here all the time and if someone pays for it that’s justifiable what That’s what the white girl had to say about her service but tgr black dear justified cause she just took the order, but the chef and the girl that brought it out didn’t give a care about how I felt about their service. The food is ok !!!!! Just don’t order shrimp cause it will be over cooked!!!

This is such a hidden 💎! The vibe the food, drinks and service are great! Mya the bartender/hostess was holding it down with Amanda backing her up. I got the shrimp and cheese grits w/a crab bomb. It was amazing! Not many places serve you jumbo shrimp so I enjoyed that. My daughter got the chicken and waffles she said it was amazing and liked it better than the traditional bone in wing chicken and waffles version. She said it was easier to just eat it right up haha 😂 For drinks I got my favorite brunch delight and aperol spritzer. It was cool Mya and Amanda let us sample a new item they were looking to bring in. We chatted with another diner and made a new friend. Smooth r & b was playing in the background. I felt like I was at a brunch in Boston without hitting up 24! This was my 2nd time for brunch I'll have to make this a more frequent event!

To be honest, I'm not sure that I can accurately put into words how great of an experience I had this past weekend at Toffee Social Bar & Lounge. Great food, great service...it was just excellent time! It was such a vibe. The staff were so attentive and personable and the bartenders made the best drinks! I couldn't take any pictures of my food because that food was GONE!!!😭😭😭 Those vanilla pancakes.....🤤🤤🤤! KUDOS to you all!!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Went there the other night for my cousin birthday & it was well worth it!! Food is good, drinks are good & they even have a section with different board games & card games to play while ur there!! I’ll def be back with my girls!! U want a nice/chill vibe?? This is where u need to be!!!💪🏾
