My family ancestors built this place. Great food there when back in late May for graduation.
Ordered the Yankee Pot Roast. It was dry and seemed burnt.
Peaceful weekend getaway. Location steeped in history and lore. Amazing staff and quality service. A must for historical buffs and all weary travelers. Reset, relax and rejuvenate.
Celebrated my Grandmother's 99th birthday! My family has always come here for big celebrations. Absolutely incredible location, service and food.
I only had dinner at the hotel, but had a great experience - highly recommend the restaurant.
I think the bartender was having a rough night. A place like this has to be great, but the bartender was just a ltlittle off tonight. The cocktails were uninspired and we felt like he couldn't wait to close and get out of there.
Beautiful location and great service for the wedding and reception

Real old world structure. The electric switch was installed by Thomas Edison. Go for the history, not the food.

I went here for someone special's birthday, and I was baffled by how long it took for us to get our food. It was like an hour. That is my only complaint, other than that the food was great, and the location was awesome.

Walkability: Many miles of walking trails throughout the property. They are easy-walk-not much up & down hill, but, still beautiful!
Most trails are lumpy with tree roots, so wear supportive shoes. I wouldn't take a residental-type wheel chair on the trails I walked, but an off-road one, with big tires would probably be fine.
Went for dinner last Saturday night and the food was terrible. The steak was ordered "rare" and it was over cooked. The waitress was disturbed to have to bring it back to the kitchen. The replacement steak was not much better. The green beans were canned green beans and the mashed potatoes were cold. My bill was $225.00 for 5 people and it was he worst food we ever had. Thank you for allowing me to express my opinion. You need to do better, improve the food and improve the service
Great drinks at the "oldest tavern " in America.
Food and drinks: Buffet food was good, nothing special. Our server was nice, but they only gave us 1, so with a group of about 40, she ran ragged. They put out 1 tray of each item, never even thought about putting another 1/2 tray out. Some folks left a bit unsatisfied.
