Thought it was because there was only one person working, but when I got closer I saw that he was moving so slowly and seemed like he didn't know where stuff was. Also, he didn't notice the whip cream canister needed to be recharged

Wow I love the new exciting flavors and how JAM PACKED the flavor add ins are. The cookies in cream is legit COOKIES and cream! This isn’t your Hagen dazz or van luisse no add ins ice cream, the flavors of new city microcreamery ice cream is how ice cream flavors should be! Jam packed with REAL flavors like lots of pistachios, real fennel, real Dubai chocolate shavings. Every bite comes with a crunchy pistachio or coookies!! And they hand pack the fresh stuff! It’s like you made the ice cream at home it’s so good!! Some flavors like peach and pumpkin pie need much improvement like real peaches flavor only and pumkin pie real pie and crust flavor and add ins. Overall, 10 out of 10 stars!!

I’ve been coming to this ice cream shop and the Hudson location for years, but lately, the shrinkflation has become impossible to ignore. My recommendation: go to another local ice cream shop with more generous portions such as Erikson’s or Kimballs. I’m likely going to pause my visits to this shop for the foreseeable future.
New City now weighs every scoop, and it’s obvious they’ve been quietly downsizing portions over time. A couple of years ago, a ‘single’ scoop was generous—now it barely covers the bottom of the cup. It’s frustrating to pay more for noticeably less. I get that input costs have increased, but this feels sneaky and disappointing. You won’t walk out of here paying less than $20 for a couple of skimpy scoops.
Sadly, it’s not the same as it used to be.

Great ice cream with fresh toppings. Very friendly staff. Balanced out and dragged down by the overpricing. Such high prices does a disservice to the product by raising expectations that cannot be matched. In the end, it’s cream pumped with air, not spun gold.

Always delicious, very welcoming, fun vibe. Love the authentic mint chip and the very stiff affogatos. Combination of indoor and outdoor seating, lots of treats even for those who don’t want ice cream (but who wouldn’t?)

I visited this past Sunday evening. The baristas were so friendly and well informed on the menu. I ordered the vanilla bourbon ice cream with chocolate sprinkles. Then to warm up, I ordered the white hot chocolate. That was THEE BEST hot chocolate I’d ever had. Definitely a place to check out if you’re in the mood for good ice cream and good service
