Pretty awful experience with two bartenders on a Saturday night. Will not be returning.

Very happy to have found this hidden gem, excellent food and better service. Many gluten free options and the food is unreal. We never had better salsa and the sampler was better.

Best food and drinks we’ve found outside the city. Point blank.

Service? Our bartender gave us a free dessert because they couldn’t do Churros with Ice Cream. 10/10.

Bonus points for an excellent playlist.

We had a wonderful experience at the bar at Sobre Mesa tonight. Excellent service from the two bartenders, and the food and drinks were high quality. We’ll be back for sure!

Showed up at 3:20pm when everywhere online says that they open at 3pm. The door was locked and the two girls inside ignored me at the door and didn’t answer the phone. Made eye contact through the door so they definitely saw me. Felt like a very rude thing to do to a few customers who showed up at a time in which they should’ve been open.

Was with a larger group. The salsa sampler has some unique, tasty options. Not too crowded on a Saturday night. The drinks were great, lots of choices and all were well made. Would go back

Good, but I think the quality has slipped a bit. Fewer fin fish and vegetarian options than there used to be.

Go For The Food.. Stay For The Service

Service: The main bartender, Nicole, was AMAZING, as was Nico. Their ability to be available, make recommendations, and check in on a regular basis made sitting at the bar the best place to be on Cinco De Mayo.
Food: Everything is DELICIOUS... and there are some foods that are BEYOND... like the Mesa Wings, the Barbacoa Brisket, and the fajitas. I joked how good the wings were, and Nico sent me happily home with some extra smokey BBQ sauce... prolly the best I've had in the USA or MAYBE tied for 1st with the crispy spicy-sweet asian wings at Fuji Newton.
The people you meet are fun (thanks for the chit-chat Bruce & wife of 42 years) & Lori, Dawn & Hubby ... best time in a long time. ?

The price of food is way more than the portion and the quality of food you receive.

Lovely hidden restaurant, worth figuring out how to get in here. Tacos are always fantastic, drinks are flavorful, staff is kind. Been coming here off and on for a few months and they've been consistent across the board. If you come with someone, I highly recommend the taco sampler. Favorite dish so far is the brisket birria tacos, which are on the mesa menu bar.

My wife and I sat at the bar. It took well over 10 minutes for the bartender to clear the previous customers food and drinks. After that he took our drink and app order and we ceased to exist. The sangria was good. The mussels were inexcusably bad, I had to pick chunks of byssal thread (mussel beard) out of the vast majority the of mussels I bothered to eat (I think I tried 5 before giving up on the dish). The bartender continued to act as though we didn't exist, never asking how the food was despite the fact we'd pushed it aside after barely touching it. Perhaps it was because he recommended it. Regardless I've never been so disappointed by the service and food prep of a restaurant. If you're under the age of 50 don't expect to receive the bare minimum of service at this establishment. If you enjoy seafood, don't expect it to be well sourced or properly prepared. I can't speak on the rest as my wife and I ended our meal early and left disappointed.
