Ye’Olde Farm Stand

A GREAT Hot Dog and a cool and tasty Italian Ice. Fresh, soft buns for the dogs with a huge assortment of fixings. I selected a half and half Ice of Strawberry and Watermelon. The strawberry was refreshing and delicious but was NOT sickly sweet. The Watermelon was wonderful and did not have that chemical taste that so many watermelon-flavored products have. It was very natural tasting and was really awesome with the strawberry (I recommend it). A GREAT PLACE TO TAKE THE KIDS, or for a first teenage date! Also, a perfect place for day workers in Sudbury to get quick and delicious lunch.

Although my kids have been here plenty of times, today was my first visit. Mike was friendly and helpful, and checked in throughout the meal to offer cups of water, see whether we needed anything else, and even share a flyer with coupons. As we sat and ate I watched him interact with adult and child visitors, and he was kind and welcoming to everyone. The food (hotdog, chips, soda, and Italian ice) was delicious and Mike offers plenty of hotdog options as well as the choice of mixing ice flavors if you can’t quite make up your mind.

In addition to the food, the farm stand offers fresh seasonal produce and is currently running a drive for the community food pantry.

Vegetarian options: You can sub a mozzarella stick for your hotdog, and Italian ice is both vegetarian and vegan.

Parking: Parking is located behind the stand.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of different seating options, several corn hole boards, and a very kid-friendly menu.

Wheelchair accessibility: The stand is surrounded by crushed gravel, but the owner has put strips of all-weather matting down leading up to the counters for hotdogs and Italian ice.

Fast becoming a destination stop, Chef Mike really has a 'golden" touch for this type venue. The hot dogs are great and the Italian Ice is superb - try the chocolate and cherry, That said, my favorite feature is the atmosphere - it's just plain fun and relaxing. Try it!

Was really excited to try their hot dogs last year since there aren't many stands around. I was sadly disappointed and i love hot dogs. the meat was nasty and barely cooked. tasted like a cheap hot dog not made of any beef or real meat. This is the first hot dog in 40+ years i didn;t finish it was so gross.
The bun was even worse. it was already split in 2 pieces but the time i got it. i got mine plain and it was like this. i got relish for my wife and it was a disgusting sloppy wet mess.
I hope they have learned a lot of lessons since last year, like cook the dogs with some char and the bun should always be 1 piece

Addition. Boarshead, especially their dogs are low grade meats. The dogs are a beef slurry with more salt and less flavor than any other dog. Hebrew national is a million times better and board head barely makes any top 10 lists for dogs. Maybe this dog wasn’t cooked. I ate it in my car and didn’t have time to go back.

Great food and even better service! I took my 16 month old son this evening for a hot dog - the idea was better in my head than reality, at first, as my son preferred to run around in the pebbles than sit on the picnic bench and eat. The owner must have seen me struggling a bit with him, because he brought out a high chair without even being asked, it was hugely helpful! After our hotdogs, I ordered a few more and 2 Italian ices to go. They were so accommodating - I brought my son to the car to get him strapped in, fully expecting to run back to pay and grab the to-go order, but instead, the owner came out to my car with everything I needed so that I didn't have to leave the car. Highly recommend, such a fun atmosphere for families and kids!

I stopped and got Chicago dogs they were delicious. The ingredients were all very fresh. The hot dogs they use were great quality. They were made with care and not just slopped together like other hot dog stands I have been to. Very nice man that was working there too. We will def be going back and will recommend. They have a nice plant selection as well which makes the atmosphere nice as there are tables to sit at etc. we ate in the car but next time will eat there

Nice guy that works here and great quality hot dogs. My girlfriend and I got the Chicago dogs. Best Chicago dogs I've had, and we've been to Chicago. They also grill their dogs which I appreciate over bland steamed dogs. Ignore the other reviewer saying boars head hot dogs are not good quality. I don't know what kind of hag dogs he's used to but he wouldn't know a good hot dog if it slapped him in the face by the sound of it.

Great hot dog stand with an old fashioned, neighborhood feel. Wide selection of toppings and Italian Ice. Great deal of 2 hot dogs, soda and chips for $9.99. Right on Route 20, parking behind the building. Chef Mike really makes you feel welcome.

A hidden gem! The hotdogs are delicious and the staff is friendly. They have so many topping offerings! They have picnic tables to sit down and eat and even offer a hand wash station. The tables are surrounded by beautiful flowering plants that are for sale.

This is more than just a farm stand. It is a fun place to bring kids, sit under a tree and chat, or enjoy an italian ice. We especially enjoyed getting all the delicious apples.

Parking: There is parking on the side and around back.

Kid-friendliness: Who doesn't love a sausage, followed by an ice?
