My family went here yesterday. It was the best BBQ joint in all of MA. We will definitely be coming back. Service was excellent, portion sizes were excellent and the atmosphere was excellent. We had burnt ends, brisket and fried sweet potatoes.

I like the food here, but the atmosphere leaves much to be desired. Last time I was here, the music was too raucous and pounding to think straight. The sides also looked like they'd been left out a little long. I think the meat and BBQ sauce are both great for New England BBQ.

I am so sorry to say that we were not satisfied. The building has seen better days and is immediately off putting from pulling into the driveway. Christmas lights still up (but falling off the sign), for example.
We decided to give it a chance, but we ended up wasting $75 dollars on 3 meals and 2 extra sides. The chicken tenders were clearly of the frozen variety and very hard. The brisket was just big chunks of fatty and chewy meat and not even on the bun- just kind of tossed around in the Styrofoam. I will be honest, I didn't even try the pulled pork we ordered. The buns for the sandwiches were probably the lowest quality available through Sysco- soggy, not toasted, and totally flat. The rice came to us in a plastic tub with a hazy piece of saran wrap loosely over top. Not appetizing at all. I've worked at BBQ places in the past and don't expect 5 star dining. A bit of greasy, sloppy, bbq full of flavor, and made with good quality ingredients is alright by us...but this was something different.
The gentleman at the counter was polite and friendly.

First time trying this restaurant. Ribs were far from fall of the bone.. Chicken was dry and boney.. pulled pork was decent That's why I gave it two stars instead of one... And they were out of cornbread... A staple side of bbq

same as reviewer a week ago: went here tonight and the place was deserted compared to past visits, they were out of many items, the sides buffet which used to be Amazing was sad. outdoor area no longer has the big tent, busted furniture in a heap. server was very nice, the rest seemed like a business on the way out with zero maintenance.

What happened to this place? We have loved coming here for years but it was in bad shape today. They were out of about 1/4 of the menu, they had no plates?, every sauce was empty, food seemed stale and old. The outdoor eating area was a disaster, there was half cut plywood on several picnic tables and the trash cans were overflowing with old trash. So strange, it just seemed neglected. I hope they can get organized because this was such a great local spot.

To the owner... and any future customers...... so... I always LOVED bubs growing up....and being from the area... this WAS by far the best BBQ place around.... BUT....I can honestly say...ITS SO NOT what it used to be. The staff is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. Not to mention rude and incompetent. Order our food, and was told it would be delivered, via doordash......2 hours later I call bubs.. and they forgot to take themselves off doordash for the day...so two people went to pick up my food...and it wasn't ever made.... and they never canceled it on Doordash...so I call bubs... speak to the girl who answered.....she was very apologetic, and told me she was very sorry and if I wanted the food still...that doordash wouldn't cancel for me.... so she offered to have the cook make it...and to come pick it up at 3.... so now this is 2.5 hours later...I head out to get food. Arrived. Gave my name.... and THERE was no food made or ready for me and my kids.....the girl who answered never gave the order to the cook. So i said something to the person.....like how long we've waited(now over 3 hrs)... & they start yelling at me... banging around noodle boxes...whining and complaining they have no noodles for the mac and cheese.. .... again shaking an empty box in my face.... now I don't tolerate BS, and definitely not disrespect.....this was THE worst experience at a restaurant I've had, EVER. Can't forget how absolutely dingy and gross it feels in there.... take some pride in your business... because those people you have working there, are destroying all your hard work.... bubs has been the talk of the town lately...and how much it changed.
