I’ve been coming here for lunch about twice a week for months, but after today, I won’t be returning. I ordered the Chimichanga lunch special, which is clearly listed on their website for $12.95. To my surprise, the server tried to charge me $24.37 for the exact same meal. Even their dinner version of the dish is listed online at only $16.95, so there’s no reason the lunch special should cost more than that.
When I questioned the price, I didn’t receive any reasonable explanation or attempt to make things right. It’s really disappointing because I’ve been a loyal customer, and I used to enjoy the food and quick service during my work breaks. Unfortunately, I can’t support a business that changes its prices without warning or transparency.

Service was excellent—our waiter was attentive, and the tableside guacamole was delicious with just the right spice. The fajita burrito was mixed chicken great, steak less so. Al Carbon tacos disappointed. Overall, great service, mixed food quality.

Ordered shredded chicken quesidilla ..bland not a good. Chip that come to the table are plain. Please add seasoning to EVERYTHING. I should have known it doesn't really smell like mexican when you walk in. Waiter was good

We had a great waiter. He brought over some chips and restaraunt style salsa. It was good. He sent the young lady over to make table side guacamole. It was delicious. It had just enough spice. We ordered the fajita burrito with chicken. We somehow got half chicken and steak. The chicken portion was much better tasting. I also ordered the al Carbon tacos. I substituted the steak for chicken. I did not like it at all. Over all the service was great, the food was half good, half not so good.

I was incredibly disappointed with our experience at La Familia. That night we were celebrating our anniversary. We were seated at the top of the stairs, directly across from the service door and service area. The tiled floor and seating was not at all like what you see on the first floor. Our food was bland-the mashed potatoes tasted like they were out of a box and the green beans and carrots were overcooked and mushy. However, we did enjoy our drinks and the server was polite. Can't say I'd go again.
