This place likes to play scams on servers! I know two different people that go to work there… work 1-3 days and then they say, “we’ll call you when we need you!” Then they don’t. Then, when it’s time to get paid. They like to ghost you. The most recent experience was when they told this person on payday that “oh, can’t give you check yet, have to fill out a W-2.” So the person did. Then, they say, checks come in the mail on Saturday, even though payday is Wednesday. So, finally, after days later, this person goes in to get their “check”, is handed a sealed envelope. Walks out with it, opens it, there is $75 cash!! This woman was hoping that the person I know would just give up like my other friend did. Why dick people around?!? Just pay them what you owe them!! Why the games?!?! Joe’s Diner has good food, but as far as treating their employees, running big scams!! I’d be interested to hear how many other servers dealt with something like this!

I was incredibly disappointed with our experience at La Familia. That night we were celebrating our anniversary. We were seated at the top of the stairs, directly across from the service door and service area. The tiled floor and seating was not at all like what you see on the first floor. Our food was bland-the mashed potatoes tasted like they were out of a box and the green beans and carrots were overcooked and mushy. However, we did enjoy our drinks and the server was polite. Can't say I'd go again.

Wonderful place to gather with friends from out of town. Food and drinks were great. We sat comfortably at the last high top at the end of the bar area. Waitress was attentive yet not intrusive. Definitely will return again.

This place did not disappoint. It was really good Italian based food, but with a little touch of Portugues on the menu atmosphere was nice service was friendly and clean. We will definitely be eating here again.

La Familia has been a favorite place for us but our last two visits have been mediocre. Last evening to food runner was truly horrible. Delivered the wrong soup then corrected it without providing a spoon. Every course was basically just tossed on the table. I tried one of the specials stuffed sole. The fish was okay but the potatoes had a funk to them, after two bites I had had enough of them. My husband's veal was just okay.
The staff was great. The food was delicious, large portions, and reasonably priced. The menu included detailed descriptions of what the dishes and sauces were made of. The Portuguese mussels were amazing! My family will definitely be back!

We've been coming here for several years and we've always liked it as a relatively higher scale middle class restaurant. I was a little disappointed in the fact that a lot of people were dressed in jeans, sneakers, and very casual clothing. It did not take away from the experience, the food or the service, but it was Something that I noticed.

Do not hesitate!!! Tonight was our first night going here and I'm so happy my daughter picked this place. Food was delicious and fresh. Our server was phenomenal which was a nice bonus. It's all about the food for me and this place was perfect. Veal parm could be cut with a fork and the red sauce was delicious. Seafood dishes were also top notch

Pork Milanese with Arugula. So delicious Salmon cooked the way my mother wanted despite not being on the menu.

we have reservations for 4 and were seated beside the entrance to the restrooms and in the path of the busy thoroughfare for the waitresses. It was loud and seemed like the waitress was in a hurry. My salmon dinner was a special on the menu and was very spicy I couldn't eat most of it. Over Al I'd say it was disappointing. We traveled 45 minutes to get there we wouldn't go again.
