The fried chicken is excellent which is why this earned a 2 star. personally i find their other offerings to be completely lack luster. I don't want to go to a bbq place and think damn i should have just gone to smokey bones. They are holding onto accolades they earned a decade ago and reposting them on Facebook like the local town drunk talking about how he could have gone pro if he hadn't injured himself. you cant ride your past success forever and let quality slip through the cracks. I try to give the benefit of the doubt, because it’s a local joint that i once regarded very highly. However in recent visits i felt that the sides in particular are not even comparable to what they once were. Their existence in this area only continues due to a lack of another local competitor. It feels as though they lack a passion that once burned bright. I hope they find a way to get back to basics and earn an award from this decade.

The pulled pork is very salty and the dinner sandwich meals are over priced considering all you get in addition is two bites of whatever sides you choose

Kinfolk BBQ is by far the best bbq restaurant in a 1 hour radius. We have tried a bunch of bbq place that are good but inconsistent. Everything we ordered from sides, smoked meat and even the fried chicken is amazing. Plenty of food was given. Highly recommend.
I’m not someone who leaves reviews and I’m also not someone who typically eats meat. My work had an event catered recently. The fact I’m sitting at my table with 2 plates of leftovers, after having a tray for breakfast - that says a lot about the quality of this place! Sylvester does an amazing job !! This is the best bbq I’ve ever had !! The sides are incredible too

Just sat in your restaurant, on Winthrop Street in Taunton for an hour waiting on an 2 orders of angel wings and a half rack of ribs. When I went to the counter after 30 minutes to ask when my food was, they said they boxing it right now 25 minutes later, they gave it to me
Absolutely pitiful. When I asked for a number so I could contact the owner they refused to give it to me, which means they get a lot of requests to complain to the owner. I’ll give you a one out of 10 for Service. Doubt I will recommend your restaurant to anyone.

I have been wanting to try Kinfolk for a while but I usually go up that way on Tuesday when you're close. Finally on a Wednesday with my fiancee, we checked it out. The ribs and sides were good but the best part that my fiancee and I agreed on was the chinken tenders hands down. The staff were kind and polite. Sitting inside was warm too.
