My husband and I stopped by at 7:15 pm on a Monday night for a quick bite. It took our server more than 20 minutes to come to take our order and then 45 minutes for our entrees to arrive. She never came over to check on us - the food was fine but the experience was frustrating. We won’t be back.

I’ve been wanting to take my girlfriend to The River House for a while now, and with the weather finally cooperating, tonight was the night—and it did not disappoint. We grabbed a spot outside along the bar area overlooking the river, and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect.
🍹 I kicked things off with a strong Stoli Troli, while she went all in on their Mai Tai—tropical, smooth, and just the right amount of kick.
🦪 For an appetizer, we shared their stuffed quahog, which was spot on with a little melted butter and a dash of Tabasco. Pure New England flavor.
🥩 For dinner, I went with the steak tips (tender + flavorful), paired with sweet potato fries and their broccoli Caesar—honestly, the broccoli stole the show.
🍗 She had the chicken teriyaki bowl, perfectly drizzled with pineapple crema—light, flavorful, and totally crave-worthy.
🔥 Everything was fresh, well-cooked, and full of flavor. 5/5 – definitely worth the visit. Can’t wait to come back again this summer!

The food was amazing! Not only delicious but well presented. We ate at the bar with no wait. Our servers Apryl and Leslie were fabulous. For a small town, I could not get over the quality of the food, the extensive menu with many GF choices and the beautiful presentation of our entrees. What a gem! This restaurant was very stingy with their bread. Two very small pieces of bread cost $3.00!!! They were tiny...when I complaint the waitress ask me to talk to the manager. She was not interested in addressing it.

Have to give this place its flowers. Not only is the food always wonderful, but the staff are amazing. My partner had a medical episode during our dinner tonight and the waitresses jumped right in and seriously saved the day. As a registered nurse I am so grateful for their quick action and generous help - couldn’t have handled it better myself. 🤍🤍🤍 thank you thank you thank you!

My wife's birthday on January 7th. Awesome place our waitress Lora was the best the bartender was awesome they make ya feel at home can't wait to get back there we will definitely ask for Lora she is so happy and fun to have wait on you she's the best.

When I walked in I almost walked out since I was greeted by Cindy who was very rude and not welcoming at all but because I’ve been there before and Tayah was excellent I came back and happen to have her as my server again. Food was excellent haddock sandwich and scoop cities were so filling I loved it. Avoid the rude server Cindy or flat out go somewhere else.
We very much enjoyed our dinner in the igloo on the patio. The igloo was so warm and inviting and the kids loved it. Inside the restroom was very clean and cool as well. The drink menu has a little of everything and the dinner menu is great. I loved the turkey tips, they were cooked just right. Sunday all day brunch menu was very much appreciated by the kids. Our waitress was so kind and had great energy. The only strange thing was that no one greeted us upon entry, multiple staff were there and quite a few people came and went and they seemed to just assume someone else was taking care of us. Once greeted, everything was wonderful.

Went to Riverhouse in Taunton tonight and it was amazing! Our server Cyndi was so wonderful. My sister in law is here from Fl and really wanted the clam special. Cyndi went out of her way to make sure she got them. Very attentive to all of our needs. We were in the igloo and I am sure she had tables inside as well. We started with margarita flights and mimosa flights. They were so good. The food was just as awsome! Bacon wrapped in bacon as an appetizer, Meatloaf, Crispy chicken sandwich, chop salad with steak tips and almond crusted sweet chili salmon. All cooked perfectly! We will be back.
