Dining at the pearl was an amazing experience. The shrimp Mozambique appetizer was delicious. Our waitress gave us a tip to dip the bread in the sauce and it was a game changer. The chicken alentejana was so yummy. We had to finish our meal with the marshmallow cookie dough cake and it was the perfect way to end the meal. I appreciated how the food was fresh so we felt satisfied and not stuffed and sick after our meal. We will definitely be back.

I ordered the Pearl steak and was disappointed, I ordered medium rare and it was more medium, I would have been ok with this but the sirloin was just not good, it was so tough I had trouble cutting it and chewing was even harder. The sauce that came with it was good and the potatoes were good but the poor quality meat ruined the meal for me. My wife ordered the Pork Alentejan and said it was good. A few minutes into dinner the live music started and it was so loud i could not hear my wife sitting across from me, this just made it a not so good experience for me. The service was excellent the waitress was attentive and pleasant.

So I would like to say that I had a bad experience ordering some takeout. But the truth of the matter is, even though something it was forgotten in the order one quick call and they made up for it. And then some with no question. Service is always super friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I'd recommend anybody wanting some portuguese food here in taunton, to definitely check out the pearl on weir street
